Hi chaps, great result last night but I thought it was a poor performance, apart from his goal I thought Antonio had a poor game, he looked knackered, he should really have scored rather than give Rice the chance to miss a penalty, I hope the owners can see that they need to back Moyes, there's no point in qualifying for Europe if you only field a weakened team and get knocked out in the early stages, it could be our only chance of getting to the champions league by winning the europa league, we also don't need it to affect our premier league form, we need to stay at the sharp end of the league, we can only do that if we've got a strong squad to compete on all fronts.

I completely agree Stevie, i actually thought last night was the first genuine poor performace we have had recently. We gave the ball away a lot and seemed to be losing a LOT of aerial duals which is unlike us. Recent games i think we have played well, but just not been clinical in the final 3rd.
I think its clear that we struggle vs teams that play 3 at the back against us (Newcastle, Chelsea, Everton and Brighton) and end up hitting US on the counter. Jesse has only been OK recently, and maybe it is because of the fact we struggle vs these opposition tactics as we are on the counter less. Moyes needs to have plan for this. We need Arthur Masuaku and match the 3 at the back!
Antonio definately had a poor game last night, he's allowed a few though IMO, we desperately need more quality up front.
Personally i would have left Benrahma on last night and taken Jesse off. Moyes seems to be showing a favouratism and if Benrahma keeps getting subbed when playing well it will impact his mentality.
