The performance against AFC in the cup was so similar to our performances from three years ago no improvement whatsoever fact.

Hi Mike, I know it's early days but if this continues and they decide to make a change, who would come in, is Nolan worth a shout or is he not a big enough name for us, I have another wild suggestion and will post if anyone wants me to as most will think it's laughable, he's a manager at a top club at the moment but going through a tough time and possibly on the verge of the sack and his family are still in London.

Not either of those two IF we had given Moyes just 1/ 3 rd of that money, ( not that I am suggesting his return ) he would have had defence and mdf sorted and likely we would have had 4/ 6 points at present my opinion of course but I have been proved right so far. IRONMIKE.

Who do you replace him with now though? could of had bielsa probably would have been better. Pulis would sort defence but then he would need carroll big big mess and dgs will say well we spent big.

Who would want to take over? 0 points afte 4 games and likely to be the same in 7 games. Money all spent on squad players at best. Not the sort of team anyone would be itching to take over.

I want to try and add a tinge of optimism and hope that things can change. We've been poor, I've been to both home games and it ain't been good. But. palace last year, 7 games no wins no goals but turned it round and were fairly comfortably safe with I would say a poorer squad.
Quite a few years ago spurs struggled and were in relegation with a very good squad, redknapp took over and they were more than fine.
I know our situation is bad, and it's same old same old, and saying be patient is like a broken record. but I think we need to keep some belief and some sense of reality. It's only 4 games in, 2 of the losses you would argue we would lose anyway at Chelsea and arsenal. All the more the negativity rings round will not help at all. Let's give the manager and team a fair chance which is not 4 games. Not fair to judge completely just yet.

{Ed001's Note - didn't both of those times require a change of manager to turn it around?}
