Why don't the FA cancel ALL football until 1st June and then play all remaining games then behind closed doors during June/ July/ August. Euro 2020 will be cancelled, so all European leagues could do the same.
Only an idea but it seems a logical one. The new season could start October.

That may well happen Markwhu but UK experts say that the peak of the outbreak here will Be June. So probably there will be lots of teams with a number of players missing so they won't be happy playing important games fielding under strength teams.

Its impossible as even playing behind closed doors its a contact sport and cannot be played with 22 players on the field in June or August. We will be lucky to get a new season in September this year.

Agreed Bideford👍I honestly am still surprised sport is being discussed at all, most love our sport, but the whole nation and world is at risk at the moment! I don’t wish to make a pessimistic post as we are going to come out of this nightmare sooner rather than later hopefully, but it’s survival at the moment because we haven’t even reached the peak of this nightmare yet apparently? All this s—- about the Olympic Games, Seb Coe as leader of World Athletics should have had the guts at least a week ago to completely abandon them, I wonder why? Sebb Blatter comes to mind! ⚒⚒⚒.

Chelmsford I disagree. Yes our health is more important but after a few days of reading every news story, watching the TV news, and waiting on updates on websites I realised I was becoming really down. I decided to stop reading websites about viruses, stopped reading news websites, and just to get a news update once a day. I started watching the great re-runs of sports, our local sports channel even ran 24hours dedicated to West Ham the other day. And while I agree that worrying about when the games will be played, or if they will, is not important, I think watching and talking about sport is still a great distraction.

Sal, That was not the point I was making, its natural to want any distraction from this depressing Virus 24 hours a day! My point was I personally couldn’t care less about any Sport in the future at the moment, that is an irrelevance to me! I think it should all scrapped and abandoned for the 2019/ 2020 season and resume whenever!

To keep it simple regarding my previous posts, “if somebody was threatening to kill you or a member of your family” would your immediate thoughts be towards hoping we don’t get relegated or will Liverpool be awarded the Premiership? that's now serious it is to me and toward the thoughts of my family, I assume it would be to any person?

I agree Chelmsford I will just be happy for myself, my family and friends to come out the other side of this alive. I am a season ticket holder and like most love my football but have to admit it is the last thing on my mind at the moment. I am the same I guess as a few of you on here in so fact I have 3 immediate members of my family on the front line. I hope they cancel this season as personally I don't care at this precise time. Let's start again next season because let's face it we could be back in this situation again when the winter starts unless they find a cure or prevention for this vile virus.
Stay safe everyone.

Hi Gerry, we are both in total agreement over this👍I so really hope your 3 wonderful front line workers keep clear, how brave they all are, please pass my most sincere thoughts towards them🤞🤝I cannot think just how these wonderful people can be thanked enough after this is all over?

Mammoth task but whenever the Queens Honours List comes around again, forget all the super rich Luvvies, entertainment world, sport stars etc, The NHS people should never be forgotten for putting their lives at risk! Perhaps even something similar each year as we remember our brave men in the World Wars, this is no different?

Thank you Chelmsford actually it is 4 because I forgot my wonderful Niece (hope she forgives me) who is also a NHS Nurse. I totally agree with you, i think they should all get a bonus, pay rise and a medal.
I am also in awe of all the Police, Fire Services, shop workers, tradespeople and all the essential workers keeping us all going while we are safe at home. Definitely when this is all over there should be a special day to celebrate all these special people, celebrate being alive and to remember those who sadly lost their lives to this vile virus.
