CHIESA, has this afternoon been offered to WH, , JUVE want £17:5 m which for a player of his quality is very reasonable, AND they would much prefer a player or players in P/EX! Only snag is CHIESSA wants 160 k a week, IF WH could shuffle this around and sort out his wages, it would be outstanding, he's a massive problem for any defence

Poor in the Euros, would stay well clear. Too much of a gamble financially.

He is a quality player on his day, but I think signing him would mean changing the balance in our team. He is at his best when he is given free licence to attack teams, Italy won the Euros when everything went through him, Juventus used to put everything through him… it’s why they want rid now. Motta is building a balanced squad, with options.

I’d rather focus our remaining money elsewhere and continue building a balance in the squad. I mean, we have Summerville on the left, Bowen on the right, Paqueta and Kudus in the middle… I’m happy with that.

Chiesa is a winger I believe. We have an abundance of players who can play wide. It’s an out and out centre forward we need, not someone who can play on the wing and centrally.
