Ings for £15m. Not a lot of money and if he hits the ground running he will be a great buy. Where ever he has gone the man has scored goals. Must mean Antonio is on his way.

Im with you buddy, I think it’s a solid buy. Ings has scored 6 goals this season which is 1 more than Scammaca and Antonio combined! As I’ve said on other posts I still like Antonio though and I’d keep him for now

I don't think it's all down to the strikers why we haven't scored though we haven't created anywhere
near enough.

Dabber,
If we keep the diver, he'll be 33 in the summer and will have a whole season of lack of goals behind him. I say get shot of him now while we can get some green shield stamp books for him. Otherwise, clubs will be queuing up to give us green shield stamps to keep him!
Ings was available a few times in the past when we were crying out for another striker. It begs the question as to why Moyes thinks he's suitable now, but didn't think so in the past. It smacks a bit of desperation. Still, let's hope he does well for us. At least he stays on his feet and knows where the goal is. I wish him well.

Michail Antonio says David Moyes' big West Ham plan simply is not working but he's part of the problem

Seen a few quotes from Antonio recently non of them are to helpful. If moyes has lost the dressing room Noble would be made aware and a change made?

Imagine if benrahma had said what Antonio has? Moyes would never play him again

I think its a shrewd move signing INGS he might have scored 6 goals for VILLA but we ain't playing like VILLA and nowhere near so he's a great finisher but so is SCAMACCA given the chance.

Tin Legs, my last defence of Antonio is this. He was never a centre forward. Moyes moved him from the wings to play up front because there was nobody else to play there. He then had 18 months where he was ok at it so Moyes decides to make him his main CF. Now the goals have dried up so has the relationship between player and manager. I’d much rather see Moyes go before Antonio and would like to see a new manager give Mickey a go back on the right wing. Bowen has been sussed with defenders knowing he’s always going to try and get the ball on his left foot. Antonio out wide gives them a different problem and could provide Scamacca and Ings with service. I’d rather get £25-30m for Bowen than £8-12m for Antonio ….

True - Ant and BNwen should be the wide forwards; presumably with Ings in the centre as a traditional focal point.

that might have worked this time last year, but Antonio is no longer the player he temporarily was. You can see that by the number of times he falls to the ground when his attempts at beating defenders fails miserably. Moyes thought he had another Arnie on his hands - wrong. He should have bought a striker (or two) when it was obvious to everyone with a pulse that we needed strengthening in that position. Moyes kept his hands in his pockets and played Antonio into the ground, totally ruining him for any position. Great man management. Now all Antonio can do is run at defenders (not successfully) and wildly lash out at the ball in the vague direction of the goal. 80% of his shots are blocked. The rest miss the target totally because Antonio's head is always down when he shoots. He's no centre forward, and never has been. Moyes tries the same with Bowen, always playing him through the middle as a centre forward when our two "strikers" are unavailable. Moyes should have kept Antonio in his natural wide position and brought in new strikers to fill the void. Instead he tried to utilise existing squad players in the misguided belief he was some kind of magical coach who could fit players in any position. Insanity, and a major contributory reason why we are in the crap we are today.

ANTONIO has been talking to the press too much and i'd be staggered were he to start or even be in the squad tomorrow especially after being told he is surplus to requirements he was 5 months ago him and MOYES are surplus to requirements.
