Having seen what we've seen so far, your selection makes a lot of sense and should possibly be the starting 11 going forward. Other players such as NOBLE, MATSUAKU, Zabaletta have had a chance and been found wanting. I might also swap Perez and Marko.

Personally because of the full backs we have and the lack of quality at centre half I’d prefer to go to 3 at the back:

But feel like MP isn’t going to shift from 442 / 451 anytime soon. If playing 4 at the back I don’t feel JW can be one of the two in the middle of the park, so should be used further up field.

Personnel less important above as with our fitness record we’ll never put out the same side twice. Need a genuine holding midfielder (Sanchez or Pedro) as a constant. could then play alongside either the other, Nobby or Dec depending on opposition / fitness.

Attacking midfield 3 would be interchangeable and Yarmy to come in anywhere at any given time. Antonio is lost 20mins at best!

I don't see MP changing his system just yet so a couple of comments on your line ups

I still worry that Rice is too inexperienced, he is also a central defender more than a midfielder as he showed against Liverpool so I think we have to stick with Ogbonna, Balbuena and Diop, just give them some protection through Cresswell and Zabaleta (only because he is more familiar with team mates than Fredericks) as fullbacks and bring in Obiang and Sanchez in midfield, perhaps play Masuaku instead of Anderson in away matches


It is much easier to bring on attackers if we are losing than defenders ( bit like shutting the door after the storm)
