Reading this morning we are apparently 7/ 1 outsiders to sign Jack Butland😧 Quite surprised at that as I thought with the arrival of Fabianski, he was inline for the number 1 slot or to give Adrian some competition, I suspect Adrian wants to go, can't see us getting Butland depending on who else is in for him, real decent keeper though, think we would have 2 really good keepers with the pair, but Stoke I suspect are going to want at least £20m for him! If that is the situation with Adrian wanting to go, we cannot have Trott as a back up keeper yet! Outfield surely we have enough signings providing Arnie stays, good deal if we could get Butland in👍👍⚒⚒⚒⚒.

I think as we near the end of the window players like Butland will be more likely to come to us. Liverpool have signed Alisson so unless Chelsea sign him then I don’t see him having a better option than us.

kaneob, agree with you as the window nears closure the choices with players are more limited, but think you may be rather biased saying he won’t have a better option than😂😂 May tend to agree up to a point but there are families to consider and wags will have a big influence on decisions, wherever he goes he will be on big money, none of them will struggle financially! Some bigger clubs looking for another keeper can easily step in if a previous interest falls through! London is not everybody’s favourite destination!

Chelmsford, I agree but all the top clubs in the prem already have top GKs. Butland needs to be playing prem football or he will relinquish the England no 1 spot and arguably the no 2 spot too. I can’t see any options for him but Chelsea and West Ham. Unless there are any surprise movements elsewhere.
