Chaps, Jack Wilsheres Arsenal days could be coming to an end, do you think it could be worth a bid in the summer or is it another player that's too injury prone for us, any thoughts.

WHat about Ola Toivonen who played 139 appearances for PSV as a midfielder and scored 61 goals and he is still scoring goals for Toulose. He is 30 so bags of experience and as such shouldn't break the bank! Any thoughts (that is of course if Toulose would sell him to us after the Braithwaite fiasco)

Reading between the lines from different bits of media one player I can see as nailed on to come to us is Daniel Sturridge. I can see him being our marquee summer striker. there's no doubt he's a decent finisher but could he end up being Carrolls mate in the treatment room. The evidence would suggest so.

I know both Gold and Sullivan have said they want to get some more british players in the team but to spend our summer transfer budget on the likes of Sturridge and Wilshere could be dangerous.

Agreed. I'd rather we get someone who can actually take a few bumps and bruises and am not convinced Sturridge is the right player unless we have him on a pay as you play deal. Also linked with Sagna.

Yh its a big risk to take both these players on. Reminds me when the biscuit barons money came in and we splashed out on dyer and Bellamy who had similar history with injuries and they continued that trend with us. Especially dyer.

And to re-iterate that very point, Andy Carroll is extremely doubtful for this weekend with Groin Injury, typical.

Like I said, we need a striker who can stand the bumps in the premier league because its a tough league and a striker with poor injury record is no good for us. We need consistency and strikers that are reliable ish!

Not sure about ola toivonon though Phil. Seem to remember he was pretty poor at Sunderland a few seasons ago and his psv days are few years ago now.

Just to add to Hammer316. Toivonon is garbage I have seen blind old ladies in zimmer frames with more pace. He is scoring in France and scored for PSV as they are both poor leagues. West ham should be aiming higher than players like him.

Good luck for the rest of the season. P. s Defoe leaves for free if we get relegated apparantly. Any takers on here?
