I’ll be sorry to see Dawson go, but Antonio thinks he’s better than he is, so I think we should get rid while we can get something for him. A couple of green shield stamp books should do it.

ROFL come on, he is worth a little bit more than that lol Maybe throw in a packet of Jaffa Cakes LOL. Seems we are now in TALKS WITH DUVAN ZAPATA who I am sure we agreed a deal with in a previous window? Forest and Everton also after him but he would prefer a move to London and if we could get him, he may form a good partnership with SCAMACCA so get rid of ANTONIO

Antonio out Zapata in, sounds good. Not sure about this money we would have to pay moyes, but knowing how sully works it wouldn't surprise me. Amazing moyes now says he wants to rebuild west ham? So wtf was he doing in the summer to the tune of £150m? Sooner he is gone the better.

This is my problem with a lot of you guys on here ….short memories! About 12 months ago Moyes was being bandied about as “The Moysiah” now he’s the devil incarnate. Antonio has been a bloody great servant to us for years now according to some of you he’s only worth a packet of Green Shields stamps! Now I was one who thought Moyes has some credit in the bank for what he’s achieved over the last two seasons but I tend to agree that credit has now been used and we need to look elsewhere or we’re going down. He’s quite obviously lost the dressing room and the terraces and has to go immediately. Antonio though! Come off it, 2 years ago he almost single handedly kept us up and has anyone not stopped to think that he might be a victim of Moyes’ current regime?! The guy appears to have stopped playing for Moyes, NOT West Ham! We need to keep him AND get another option as Bowen is out of form and Cornet not coming back anytime soon. Our spine is damaged, Goalkeeper need s to be Areola, Centre halves are been chopped and changed every week, we have a Captain who has half an eye on his next move playing next to Souchek who looks terrified every time the ball comes near him and 2 strikers who can’t score because they are getting poor service from either wing and Paqueta who looks like he believes he made the Worlds biggest mistake signing for us. Its mess and one that needs sorting sooner rather than later by bringing in fresh management and shipping those out who don’t want to play for the badge. I don’t include Antonio in that bracket …

When I seen Chelsea had made a loan bid for Antonio I thought it was ridiculous but come to think of it if we were to get in another striker and mick is unhappy I'd rather us loan him to Chelsea than him go to a relegation rival. Maybe even with better service he will recapture his previous form and bump up his value.

Sorry, Dabber, but you have me totally wrong. I've always thought Moyes was overrated and a poor appointment, but I was willing to give him a chance. His record in football management has always been there for all to see, despite all the crap peddled out by so-called TV pundit "experts". And right on the button, his true "skills" started to shine through. After an initial rush of blood to the head, our form started to slide over a year ago. By February last year, it was obvious that Moyes lacked the management skills required in a modern premiership league. Wait a minute though, weren't we all getting carried away with reaching the Europa League semis? So, we got knocked out of the second tier European competition in the semi-final and ended up in the top half of the domestic league. Ring any bells? We weren't good enough, and the reason was because our manager thought it best not to strengthen our forwards, but to run his experimental "striker" into the ground. Unsurprisingly, the goals started to dry up.
Your "Messiah" then went out into the market with a bulging wallet and brought in eight new additions, which he promptly wrapped in cotton wool and put in the cupboard with the excuse that they needed "bedding in". No other manager did that. At least one of the new players is still trying to get out of the cupboard four months later! And now we hear that the "Messiah" turned down the chance to sign a player he thought "didn't feel right"! That player has since ripped up trees wherever he plays, and without any bedding-in. Nice one Moyes.
Antonio is nearly 33 years old, thinks he's a lot better than he really is, has been playing out of position for as long as I can remember, and thinks he can score goals by wildly kicking the ball in the direction of the goal. He can't, but what he's good at is throwing himself on the floor when his pathetic efforts at scoring go wrong. Consequently, he spends most of his time on his arse. Personally, if I bought him in exchange for green shield stamps, I'd be asking for a refund.

Tinlegs, I wasn’t particularly enamoured with Moyes’ appointment either on both occasions but given 6th/7th in the league and semi final in a tin pot European cup was substantially better than anything else we’ve achieved since 1989 (apart from the 2006 FA cup final) I admit to having eaten some humble pie and given him some credit. As I said though this is a business game and relegation will happen if he doesn’t leave soon costing us millions. Someone else will come in and save us from that but what do they have to do to become a success and what does the next level look like to you? Also who do you see that person being? As for Antonio let’s agree to disagree as it wasn’t that long ago the guy was on fire and dancing with cardboard cut outs of himself. Bowen runs around like a one-winged fly always in a semi circle from right to left and his goals have dried up but he seems to be dodging vitriol ….

I thought we could agree to disagree about Antonio so what are your thoughts on:

A) What does success look like
B) Who do you want to take over
C) Do you agree or disagree about Bowan

Success looks like being competitive on a consistent basis. As for taking over, anyone that can get the players motivated and someone who will play players in form and not one who leaves players on the bench because he doesn't like them. And as for bowen, he should be dropped or sold cause he is being carried.

Success depends on the degree of success. I do not consider maintaining a constant mid-table position as success. Silverware, or a ECL position would certainly indicate success.
Who I would like to be our manager and who is likely to get the job are different things. My favoured choice was always Eddie Howe, but Newcastle destroyed any hope of that. My next choice was Thomas Frank, and he might have been possible a few months ago when it was obvious Moyes was an incompetent failure. The Brentford board recognised that and gave him a new 5 year deal. In reality, there are few other options.
Bowen is overrated imop. His shooting accuracy needs to be improved. However, under the right coach, he could be developed, playing him in the right position.

Oshee and Tinlegs, very well reasoned responses. We have a fairly decent squad and great stadium so in theory consistency and success should not be outside our reach. We are a good sized club and in London so attracting good to excellent players should also be feasible. This season will be about avoiding relegation so the challenge is getting a manager who can get us the 7 wins needed to stay up but who also has the ambition and vision to develop us and take us to the next level. Pochettino or Tuchel are my preferred but I just don’t see them being prepared to work for Sullivan. If the club is put up for sale in April and we get new owners with more financial clout then it can happen. Yhe risk is by then it might be too late ….

Poch or Tuchel would be excellent options, but we must be realistic. Why on earth would either of them take on a relegation battle with a club where all is plainly not well and one owned by a man who interferes too much in the business of the transfer market? In fact, if rumours are to be believed, Poch has already rebuffed advances from our club. Mr Sullivan is scared of his own shadow, indicated by his preference for a temporary appointment to get us out of the crap. A change of ownership in April would be beneficial, but will almost certainly be too late to save us. It won’t happen before that. I can see us beating Everton or getting a point. Then we’ll hear the usual cronies calling for Moyes to be given more time! It won’t change our self-administered shot in the foot. The only way we can avoid the drop now is if Moyes goes by this weekend to be replaced by someone who knows what he’s doing.

I think we will beat everton and that's exactly what SULLY is praying for then it saves him from doing the invebitable and hoping and praying that we get lucky (which we wont) against our next three after everton.

So, Ings will play tomorrow, within a day of signing for us. To hear Maestro Moyes, Ings is the best thing since sliced bread. It’s clear the Argyll Gargoyle is relying on his latest capture to be his saviour. I have nothing against Ings . he’s a fairly capable goal scorer, but he has pressure on him straightaway. My guess is we’ll beat Everton and Moyes will survive another day . until the next couple of fixtures. All this naffing around will cost us dearly. Moyes is just not good enough and should have gone months ago.
