I am fuming, sorry for this rant but to the owners and Kretinsky just get out of our club, if you can't see that this was a golden opportunity to kick on and get top 4 it's pathetic, I think they are just happy at not being relegated, like I said I'm sorry for this rant but I am absolutely fuming ???

Mark Noble has voiced his views on it public ally as well… basically saying he has a close relationship with the manager and from the get go, the outlook has been “not going to buy if it isn’t improving the squad” and “it has to be the right player, someone that will be a good fit in the squad” implying character wise…

It’s ridiculous, they’re actually laying foundations (Noble is laying foundations) to try and alleviate the disappointment, anger and frustration that the club are undoubtedly going to face by signing no one.

I’m off to bed. Can’t be bothered checking the updates, clearly it isn’t happening.

We moan every single window and I'm sorry but to not replace HALLER is playing with the clubs status in the premier league let sully and his little lap dogs go and play Russian roulette with another club this might sound stupid as we ain't in trouble but come on to go into a premier league season with one striker who wasn't even a striker and who's been useless for the last 10 or even more games we are going to get to the stage where we are going to have to replace 6 or 7 players and that ain't the way forward cresswell 33,Dawson 32,ogbonna 31,noble 35,Antonio 31, Rice is going to part company fabianski 36 masuaku not good enough there's 8 so come on its the bigger picture DM NEWMAN SULLY.

Stevie I think we all would have liked players to come in and are frustrated but I don't think the owners are the issue here. It is easy to blame them but they are the ones investing THEIR money in the club. I don't think I ever heard that Moyes and Newman couldn't bring anyone in. I don't think I heard that money was an issue. Moyes has done a brilliant job on the playing side, and on the deal side to bring in some players who have done wonderfully well, but historically he has never been known as someone who could bring in the big player, he has always been seen as dithering. Newman was brought in to help and well the jury is out but not looking good. Now he was at City for 12 years head of scouting and recruiting, but how many players did they buy through scouting? Most are big name players so wouldn't need too much scouting. Head of Recruitment - how much did he do and how much did being an incredibly rich club with known high profile managers, surrounded by world class players do? Perhaps his job there was easy and he isn't up to the real work of finding and attracting players to a mid table club with less cash to splash and lesser stars to lineup with. Let's see in the summer but if things go pear shape I think Newman must be questioned as we need someone who can help Moyes with this as he isn't great at it.

DISAPPOINTING!

Well, what was the point of bringing Newman in and Kretinsky has surely had a big influence in this window (without a shred of a doubt). Moyes was very public at the start of the window telling everyone he needed a striker and a defender as we are short in the CF department and at the back. He also said he will only buy if he can get better thann what we have. Well clearly there is nobody out there better than what we have. So, before Antonio went away with Jamaica he looked jaded and fatigued. Wait till he comes back and he is next to useless.Kidderminster will beat us on Friday and then the questions will be asked. A joke of a club run by jokers. Am personally done with them and not paying another penny to them

Let's not forget Nobes himself is 35 in May; so he is another warm body (andthis time experienced one) we are losing.

Absoulte disaster, I read early in the window some players were worried about the lack of investment. Let's hope the discontent doesn't effect the performances although I'm sure the fatigue will continue to be a problem.

We left it far to late and clearly we don't sound out these players before making a bid. Summer needs to be a massive window for us as mentioned above we have a lot of key players in there 30s. If Newcastle stay up aswell they will no doubt be competing for a similar level of player and could easily blow as out the water financially so I actually hope they go down.

I know Kretinsky’s arrival was supposed to give confidence to the fans, but I have to wonder how much Del Boy and Rodney were still influential in January.

It’s turned out to be more of a wall than a window.

Let’s calm down to a panic lads. Calling for the owners to leave our club is simply pathetic! NEVER in the 19 years of being owners of the club have DGS failed to bring in a transfer.
My opinion, this is Moyes who has dithered somewhat. Giving Moyes the responsibility identify his own targets and the appointment of Newman ( who Moyes chose) clearly suggests to me the buck stops with Moyes and Newman.
I think we need to understand the full picture before we all storm the boardroom.
Moyes has had not 31 days of a transfer window but a year to identify a striker but he leaves it all until the last minute. Krezinsky is also not to blame. Funds were available to Moyes. I would suggest that DGS are just as disappointed as we as fans are. If we don’t finish 4th, it’s then who end up sucking hind tit commercially.
To be frank, most fans haven’t got a scooby do about what’s going on.
And with our “ex-employee insider” that everybody seems to think had an insight into the going ons within the club, where was his heads up on Zapata. We all read the continuous reams of codswallop he writes and castigate the owners when nothing he says comes to fruition.’
Next time he says we are going to sign Father Christmas let’s all rush out and buy a replica shirt with “Santa” printed on the back shall we.
Let’s just see how the season pans out without the reinforcements. If we have a disappointing season, for me it’s Moyes that needs to answer for it and NOT the Board.
There… that’s my rant over too.

100% agree COYI. I understand people are frustrated, we all are. But people are focusing that frustration on an easy target but I think in this case it is misdirected.

If a club trys to go a whole season with one 1st team striker and puts everything into perspective of why posters rant and rave and not to focus on an easy target ill tell you who the easy targets are SDL us supporters not fans supporters who part with our hard earned money (personal choice)so the least we can do is rant and rave they and i mean sully moyes newman gold brady couldn't give two ****s about the likes of us they just go home to their ivory tower and count their hard earned money and that is what's wrong with football in this day and age its all about one five letter word MONEY they've got away with it playing russian roulette with the club so they will still harp on about how much covid has cost teams this last 2 years let me just have one last rant at SULLY the little control freak di come out with statements like we will challenge fir a champions league spot when we move to the london stadium.talks cheap money pays for houses what my dear grandad use to say to me when i spoke bollocks.

You won't hear any argument from me if you want to talk about the modern football club and how football has become too much about money. Maybe like many I am getting old and my support of the Hammers, like many on here, came from them being my local team, and for the most part they had a lot of players who were loyal and you could relate to. Bonds, Brooking, Curbishley, Devonshire etc. The Cearns family were always there and we knew what we would get. A team capable of exciting, but a bit too fragile to ever win a lot. The good old days. Sullivan is just part of what football is now and you see protests at Manchester United, at Everton, and most other clubs at one time or another. It isn't going to change anything, if you want to be in the Premier League it is a global business with owners who are investors rather than a real family club of old. It is just reality. Players are employees and commodities to be bought and sold. You are right, other than your ticket purchase, your shirt purchase, your merchandise purchase, the owners will never truly care about you anymore. But protesting against them won't change anything and will likely just make things worse for the team. They didn't prevent us buying anyone and would surely have liked to if it meant West Ham finished top 4 as that would give more money through TV rights, merchandising, ticket sales, global profile, but it needs to be balanced against what the players cost. We aren't going to go buy 100M on 250K-300k a week player for the chance of finishing 4th once as that would be a disaster. We need to build consistency and be in those European places all the time to have that sort of player brought in. The issue as I see it is we never planned the window ahead of time properly and that falls to Newman and Moyes and the questions should be asked of Moyes what was Newman doing. Do you blame the CEO if the postman throws your fragile item at your front door? People have to do their jobs. What was Newman doing?

This will be controversial to some - but the homegrown indigenous working class brits no longer occupy the EastEnd in any quantity (moved out to Essex laregly) ; Eastenders was dated already when it began for this reason (leaving aside the fact some of them have 3 businesses so are not really working class ; the latter of whom had a master and only their labour to sell.).
