I see the press are today linking us with a summer move for Sturridge, AGAIN! Any thoughts anybody?

Also any thoughts on the tie with united.

we are going to get linked with everyone between now and the summer just bored press i'd say still don't want him would cost too much for an injury prone player no boubt in his ability to score goals just don't think paying someone 100k a week and 20 million to sign to keep carroll company in the treatment room is good buisness

think we got a great chance againest united there's no pressure on us at all all the pressure is on them being at home and let's face it from what I've seen this year they just aren't very good more than winnable I think.

I'd much rather play Manchester United in the cup that Arsenal, Chelsea or our bogey club Everton!

Great news announced today. AC fit and ready to return to the first team for the visit of Sunderland (at least till half time when he will be injured)

Personally I would let him ROT on the bench and come seasons end he'd be first out the door.

Whilst I agree Phil that Carroll has been some what of a sick note for us since joining, he makes an impact when he comes on in games and gives us a plan B.

Letting him rot isn't exactly smart, keep him in the shop window. I'd keep him on the bench, give him half an hour hear and there, give him a couple of getting himself in the starting XI and then come the summer, try and get the maximum amount of money for him.

I think Sturrige would be a fantastic signing . only problem is the obvious keeping him fit as for carrol I agree with u die4 if we just let him rot in the stiffs we won't be able to move him on for any sort of price use him as impact sub if we need a plan b . as for Man U I'm not sure it's that bad of a draw . I would of preferred to get em at home but I think we more then capable of turning a poor Man U squad over at old Trafford âš’.

You talk like Carroll deliberately gets himself injured!
He is injury prone there is a difference, Sturridge is the same and has played about the same number of games for LFC as AC has for us.
Wilshere, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Rosicky et al, again are injury prone it's seems to be a thing with modern players.

I see somewhere we are being linked with oxlade-chamberlain in the summer.

Yeah I agree. When Nolan was around there was a lot of talk about AC's professionalism and whether that added to his injury problems, but looking at SB's comments he is committed now. If that is the case, then it is harsh to blame him for his issues. Do we slag off Ashton because of his ankles? Should we sell him if we can, yes, but let's be fair to the guy.

{Ed001's Note - did someone really compare Sturridge with Carroll? Carroll is a drunken oaf, who gets injured falling off bar stools drunk. He lacks fitness because of his excessive drinking habits. Sturridge doesn't drink, he is just injury prone, but at least he tries to keep himself in shape, rather than going out on the lash all the time. At the end of the day it comes down to the same thing, but Carroll will always have these problems unless he sorts out his life, while Sturridge has at least a chance of keeping fit. Though a slim one.}

Ed001. You think Carroll is still doing that? I had assumed by SB's comments early in the season when he was asked about his professionalism, and he said he was happy with him. You think it was just for the cameras and he is still a liability?

{Ed001's Note - I believe Bilic is referring to his previous habits of turning up for training late and stinking of booze, which he is no longer doing. It does not mean he has stopped drinking, just means he is on time.}

Maybe if he played drunk he might look half decent 😂.

{Ed001's Note - if you had the beer goggles on he might look half decent with his hair down in a night club with the lights right down.....}

Ed, I hope I'd notice the beard :)

{Ed001's Note - I have seen the women in the West Ham area, if people didn't ignore the beards none of them would ever get laid...... I am going to get abusive texts off a friend about this comment - she is very sensitive about her beard, she even dyes her hair and claims she is going for the Mandy Carroll look.}
