OK so according to Press in Nottingham a deal has been agreed between us and Forest for Antonio and he is due for Medical with Jarvis going the other way and cash! Wait for confirmation but that's the latest. Barton has also been backed down dramatically to 6/4 to join us which wouldn;t be so bad. At least we would have a bit of steel in the midfield and we could get rid of NOBLE who I think (as much as I like him) isn't premier league quality. Too slow, can't tackle and can't pass or corner or free kick

If what I read was right about senior players saying they didn't want barton what will this do to the dressing room? And does this mean song is a no goer now?

Hi Phil. I just read on the BBC website that Nottingham Forest are due to refuse our bid. I was under the incorrect assumption that Jarvis would join Forrest permanently as part of the deal, but it's only a loan with West Ham paying the wages. Given the choice Barton or Noble. I would say Noble all the way and I'm pretty sure 90% of Hammers fans would have the same view.
You are saying that Noble isn't Premier League quality, but pundits have been asking themselves for years why he hasn't had an England Call up. I think he has steel, passion and some guile to be honest. Barton is way to hot headed, disruptive and self obsessed with his own ability. A bad combination for my liking. How many games would he get sent off and leave us with 10 men, or at best, how many times would he get a yellow card and be replaced by somebody else on the bench to ensure he doesn't get sent off. Look, I may be wrong about Barton but he this "recently reformed" appearance of his is just that. I think his naturally volatile which is not good for the team.
One last comment, if you look at Nobles statistics from last year, you will see he covered more miles per game than any other player in the league. That my friend is effort and determination to win the ball.

Maybe these players that don't want Barton, a good player, should try winning some games and prove we don't need him. And Noble is nowhere near as good as Barton, much as I love him, anyone who thinks otherwise is giving him the local boy vote.

Could it be that he covers more miles because he has no positional sense and runs around like a headless chicken.please don't get me wrong I know he his WH through and through but surely we have to be going to the next level.
