Hi fellas, well I think you read the situation correctly, wth zaza, problem realy is more time wasted. Which puts more pressure on the remaining days of the window, It doesn't matter how long the window is wh always finish up running around, I'm hoping that no rubbish is picked up in desperation, I would rather go with what we have but here's still time let's see what tomorrow brings!? So the mighty West Ham United cannot compete now with the likes of Stoke Southampton Swansea Leicester Palace in terms of recruiting quality because we won't pay the going rate and instead will look to the likes of Adebayour . shameful and truly embarrassing. The clubs above don't offer derisory bids knowing full well that it will be rejected they get in quick get a deal done and get the player in . Yet again nothing but false promises .

Austin could have been a great signing!! Never mind, thanks SULLIVAN.

Birmingham fans all said the same thing CAW1895. ots of talk, never any follow through.

I am getting that sinking feeling we'll get the same comments once the window shuts. "We tried everything to sign a striker, but couldn't get anything over the line".

Well DGS, the FFP Rules are irrelevant to West Ham at the moment. We aren't in Europe at the moment, and based on our performances in the last two games, we won't be in Europe next season. Open up your purse strings, and buy the players West Ham DESPERATELY need.

A right back
Two wingers
A Qulaity centre forward

DIE_4_WHUFC I couldn;t agree more. Lots of talk about targets all over the world and every time as CAW1895 rightly states no follow through or joke bids nowehere near a clubs valuation resulting in us missing out time and time again.
If I was Bilic I'd be saying goodbye to more than just Maiga. Noble, Tomkins, Nolan and Jarvis would be gone.

I agree, get rid of Nolan, Jarvis and Maiga. Tomkins and Noble, no way. The West Ham fans bang on about bringing youth through the academy but in the next breath talk about getting rid of the likes of Tomkins and Noble. Two die hard West Ham fans who I believe do their best every week.
Also, use your heads a little, the board has spent a significant amount of money already while paying finesm compensation and the outstanding debts. Show so gratitude man and get wise to the fact that we don't have the buying power that others do. Yes Leicester and Swansea have more spending power than us at the moment because they don't need to fork out £17 Mill on the conversion of the OS, no outstanding debt to pay off that was left to DGS and also no compensation to pay out to Sheffield United. These posts about DGS being stingy are rattling me to be frank. It's easy to demand they pay out money when it's not coming out of our own pockets.Be more positive and supportive like fans are expected to be and stop whining and whinging about what we don't have. I understand it's frustrating being linked with players and not buying them but remember, some of the players we have been linked with in the media are nonsensical publicity stunts. As I mentioned in another post, DGS have already invested over £282 Mill in the club. Their net worth between them is only around £700 Mill and the majority of that is not cash flow. I would love to see what the fans would have to say if DGS bankrupted themselves buying players and the club went into administration. What is more important? The financial stability of the club and ensuring its always around for us to support or investing cash we don't have into players and getting into debt for the sake of one season. It's business now, it's no longer only a game of football. Let's wait until we move into the OS and see what happens. We should get a substantial boost in investment when we move there.

My God it ain't taken long for the mood to drop again has it. How can dgs be accused of being tight the amount of money they've ploughed into saving us from being another Leeds. Such short memories. And the constant cry to spend 15m on Austin is embarrassing, glad u lot ain't running my club who I SUPPORT

I don't think anyone wants them phil that's the problem we all know the best we can hope for now is adebayor it's embarrassing rubbish spurs rejects 2 years we've been short of strikers and nothing done about its a joke

To COYI164 and Hammer316 it will cost dgs a lot more of their own money if we get relegated which I'd say at the moment is a real possibility with the squad as it is from Xmas last year we showed relegation form and I don't think the squad is any stronger than it was then so in this case I'd say they would have to speculate to accumulate anyway with all the new TV deal And such I'm not even sure if their own money was part of our budget for this season

9.) 26 Aug 2015
26 Aug 2015 11:26:14
Mostly it's to do with poor planning everyone knew we needed a striker so we bought a centre half we had one decent winger sold him and got no replacement this has nothing to do with how much the budget is really but everything to do with poor planning and bed use of the resources we actually have and because of that we are now being linked with players like adebayor who can't even get a squad number at the spuds

So if we don't get many more players, the way to help the team stay up from this 'relegation dog fight' were apparently already in is to moan whinge and boo the team every time something goes against us. That's great logic.

Stating my opnion isn't whining and with the amount it costs me to watch west ham I'm perfectly entitled to my opinion as is everyone else

Some of you are absolutely hysterical about Adebayor who would instantly be our best striker even when everyone is fit, how short some of your memories are. 10 Years playing at clubs challenging for either top 4 or the title. He hasn't just turned 31 and his legs have suddenly gone.

If anyone has any sensible suggestions of players we can bring in close to these numbers in top flight football, kindly let us know.

2003–2006 Monaco 78 (18)
1 in 4.3
2006–2009 Arsenal 104 (46)
1 in 2.2
2009–2012 Manchester City 34 (15)
1 in 2.2
2011 Real Madrid (loan) 14 (5)
1 in 2.8
2011–2012 Tottenham Hotspur (loan) 33 (17)
1 in 1.9
2012 Tottenham Hotspur 54 (18)
1 in 3
Career 361 games 134 goals
1 in 2.6

Perfectly entitled to your opinion, but the hysterical nature of some West ham fans lately is disappointing. I used to laugh at villa and Newcastle fans for there unrealistic demands and fickle nature but some of you guys are jist as bad. If you don't like what you go and watch then don't go

If he's so good then why have spurs who only have one other striker not even assigned him a squad number?

It's also easier to score goals in a team like arsenal or man city as you get more chances won't get those numbers at west ham as won't get the same amount of chances

He's also one of the most lazy players in the pl

He's also on 100 grand a week I don't think he's worth that to us could spend the money on 2 maybe 3 players wages (I know spuds are maybe going to pay some of that but still think it would be 70 grand a week)

He only scored 1 in 5 last season so not the numbers you are showing there either

Anyway those are the reasons I'd prefer to go after other targets

REDROBBO2

I fully understand where you are coming from with the television money and although it's quite high, isn't enough to do what we want to do.
Television money awarded to West Ham was £72,3 Mill. In contrast Liverpool got £97 Mill.
Please review this information which I have found for you.
In spite of the revenue ( television and everything) last year we still made a £4,0 Mill loss.
I addition to paying off the clubs debt which you can see is £77 Mill, the club are still investing in players even though we are running at a loss. What more can you ask for?
All money that is being lent to the club for players is coming out of DGS pockets.
