It's still very early in the season and we shouldn't panic but it's plain to see by the lack of real quality on the bench today that we are lacking in squad depth. Randolph by all accounts played ok today therefore any money we were looking at spending on Green to cover for Adrian should be dispersed elsewhere. Moses, Defoe, Song and a quality player that can play across the back four should do it , I've said it before and I'll say it again , we shouldn't be letting Van Dijk from Celtic be going to Southampton, Everton or Palace .

Are you for real,it's not a panic it's an observation on the real threat that if we do nothing then we are in big trouble!! I would like Austin myself but I think that's done but we do need more players(at least a rb and striker) we can't wait for song on/off or Carroll to be fit if ever again! In an ideal world we should get a fee more but Somthing needs to be done!!

3 games in and 6 goals scored so scoring isn't a major concern at the moment. What were lacking is a leader on the pitch and organisation across the back 4. Van Dijk is the man. 10 goals last season, free kick specialist and reputed to be a big prescence in the dressing room as well as on the pitch. Talksport reported this week that it's laughable that Chelsea are looking at £40m for John Stones when Saints have bid £8m for Van Dijk . We should be looking at him and cover in the attacking mid department

I understand. We do need a couple more in. But I believe we just need to support the club rather than constantly moan when things don't go right. It's a long season, dgs despite a few failings are doing the best they can for the club I believe. I think just have some faith and give it some time before fearing the worse. There's clubs worse off than us who have invested much less than we have.

Hammer 316, I appreciate your reply and we all want what is best. Iv said from the start I'm not a fan of Billic, and I believe he be nowhere near our club if he had not played for us. I believe with a few more poor results he will be the first to walk!
