Reid has come out and admit he would like a move to Arsenal if they come up with a bid this month, according to several online sources. His attitude towards the whole situation stinks in some parts but he is performing still on the pitch. Hopefully get a bid upwards of 5m so we can consider it. The longer he's around knowing he's leaving the greater negative impact it will have on the club

{Ed002's Note - At least the club know where they stand with WR now.}

Yes Ed that's a plus, but I suppose they would rather the bid come in sooner rather than later so they can use that as a budget for a replacement. I don't think anyone is going to bid knowing a freebie is on the cards in summer. Its all a bit of a mess

{Ed002's Note - I would think if a bid arrives from a club he is attracted to (e.g. Arsenal) then Reid will go. He can negotiate with non-EPL sides now and sign a pre-contract if he finds something suitable - that means walking in the summer with him getting a fatter signing on fee and WHU getting zip. Alternatively he could take his chances and wait until the summer and see what is available.}

Id swap Reid for Jenkinson all day long.

I hope he does join Arsenal, preferably in this window so we get some fee for him.

I then hope he sits on the bench and rots. Mertesacker and Koscielny are both better defenders than Reid and I hope Arsenal give Chambers the nod over Reid every week.

I don't see why we should hope he 'rots on the bench'? He's done a good job here and continues to do so in the light of all the speculation. We should have tied him to a longer extension than we did. If he goes I'd love us to go for Richards.

I hope he rots on the bench too. it annoys me because he rates himself so highly. 80k a week he wanted from us, not being funny, but the C can't even kick the football

For his smug attitude yes I hope he gets to a team where he is used as a back up, that will pull his ego down a few pegs

Let it go!

Reid has been a good servant to the club, they gave him a contract and he has seen it through, let's be honest and see the amount of people that refuse to play to get a move!
Let's take the money if we can get any and wish him well for the future!
Forget all this "rot in hell" talk, how old are you lot.

I don't remember WR being smug once and any of us in the same position would be the same. A lot seem to forget this is a job (albeit a fantastic one) and we have all left jobs for bigger companies and more money. This is the same for him. Good luck winston and COYI

Yeah it stinks if someone goes on a free, but I agree, he hasn't let performances drop and of course a player should be ambitious, although a lifelong Hammer, you can understand he would want a crack at Champions league. Thanks for your efforts WR, and good luck.
p. s. we paid hardly anything for him in the first place, we don't complain if we get a freebie on a Bosman ruling!
