Hi, fellas, wh have finally decided to let Reid go and as soon as possible, try to get a decent fee for him now instead of him walking in the summer WISE move! We may get a move tomorrow for him, to try and stop him being cup-tied, Lots of championship players have been watched, after the success of cresswell, particularly Ben Marshall, michal Antonio and lewis dunk, I will be surprised if there are no acquisitions from that league either now or in the summer, rumour continues on about shelvey and gomis, despite wh denials and despite shelveys car in the car park at west ham the weekend, ok then did he lend his vehicle 16 JJS to another player?, this is like the lassana diara mystery, he trained and had medical attention for three weeks, then signed for inter, was he not wanted? Metz wanted us to take young striker max cornet, but we have said not at present, looks like he's going to Lyon, age and suspect injuries are against defoe joining us, even though favourites Leicester look likely to land kramaric, as I stated earlier defoe like shelvey would love to come to west ham but Toronto want to sell not loan before purchase and dgs think this a risky business, unfortunately zarate despite passing a medical at qpr is still in limbo, this is because qpr are trying to keep options open, there is a possibility he may go elsewhere, I hope he has a good season wherever, as dgs are upset about the circumstances surrounding this issue. HOWEVER, as it is by no means certain that SAM will be in the drivers seat next season, he is still retained as w. h. player, the deadwood is being hawked around everywhere, as squad space and wages needed for new signings, which are essential, it is likely that one or two may be paid off contract wise, as they come to the end of there terms, watching on TV tomorrow, not going to goodison, as have much to do before I go away, will post again before then IRONMIKE

Cheers again for your update Mike. WHat sort of fee are DGS looking for where REID is concerned.

Any thoughts on the recent dire performances and renewal of Allardyce contract??

2.) 05 Jan 2015
Performances haven't been that bad, never going to get anything at chelsea, hard done by against arsenal and fair enough West Brom should have got the win. no more that 4 mill for reid

To be honest despite. reids open market value, as everybody knows, it's more a question of taking as much as possible now, rather than nothing down the line, my own guess 3m, no club going to put7-8m down knowing they can get him for nothing in 5 months time, with Sam, I think it's a question of points on the board at seasons end, style of play, and future expectations, 55 points has been confirmed to me as pre season target, which would represent great improvement and top ten finish, style of football, we have discussed that to death, and wether Sam is right man for move to new stadium, things seem to be turning against him, as tomorrow no song, sakho, Carroll, or kouyate, and noble is not certain to start, and we are letting zarate out on loan!!! Totally crackers in my opinion, as carlton cole, vaz te and Valencia lead the line, and Nolan behind, this is what I have been stating all along the squad is far too thin, and back up for first team is poor, unfortunately it's going to take another couple of transfer windows to sort it all out, there is also a small possibility of Morrison playing this month, to put him in spotlight, that's my knowledge at present. So agreat deal would be a few dollar and reid for Jenkinson

5.) 05 Jan 2015
I think that the Board have said to Zarate go out on loan till the end of the season, then we will be getting rid of Sam and you can have a fresh start with the new manager! Would be easy to beleive as both sullivan and gold recently undermining Sam publically! If He can do this with this team imagine what a good manager would acheive!

I hope we manage to get rid of Reid quickly, get some money for him and bring in his replacement ASAP.
No point keeping a player whose mind is only halfway at West Ham, but already focused on his future club, whatever it may be.

Will Reid turn out like another Diame, not finding the grass any greener at his new club?
Or will he find fame and fortune at a bigger club? We'll see.

Glad we're not selling Zarate outright.
I'm sure a different manager next season could use him very well.
