Spurs result against Rangers put things in perspective. I thought we were okay until Aguerd went off. Think we are still frail at the back — perhaps that’s Coufal and Cresswell showing age in getting back effectively. Kostic would be good with Cresswell as backup, Johnson shifts to RWB with Coufal, ship Diop to Fulham and get Torunarigha in. I still think Broja on loan is a good idea once Scamacca secured and shift Antonio to a wing/make him compete with Benny on the left/or bench him

Kostic is a wing back more than a left back

Rather than Broja in my opinion a great signing would be Belotti, he started career as midfielder / winger, can play as a No10, wants to come to the Prem so seems ideal signing.

The amount of posters on this site that assume and think they are right about signings is bordering on laughable and if people don't like it when posters put up that they ain't happy with the board is also laughable as if they are supporters of west ham not fans who I clearly understand reasons why people can't go to watch west ham ill health or not being able to fund it it also understandable I've been watching west ham for over 50 years and if people don't like what posters say about the board then they shouldn't comment on peoples unrest over what goes on behind the scenes as none of us know the truth but I've read quite a few recent posts about people slagging off the board is wrong but a couple of things I know is true is that sully said that when we moved to the London stadium we would challenge the top four that's a fact and the gamble of not replacing the position of HALLER worked out total lack of professionalism that's a fact and there has been good signings in BOWEN,SOUCEK who I'm amazed has been slagged off on this site so the morale of this site is everybody no matter what will always disagree with oneanother but back to sully don't make statements when you can't back them up well at this moment in time you haven't its all about opinions so let's get behind each other and the team as one thing I'm positive about is you will never get the truth out of sully that I'm sure of.

Whorya I think everyone will have an opinion, and that is all it is. If everyone agreed with everything everyone else wrote, well that would be incredibly boring. No-one knows for sure who we are signing until they see the club announce it, and that includes all the so called insiders who might have a little more idea because they spend a lot more time and effort chasing down information, but they are still only speculating or at best going on unconfirmed information.

Not running to the defense of Sullivan but I don't recall him ever saying we would be top 4 but that was the ambition.

West Ham’s attractive style has joint chairman Sullivan – who along with David Gold bought the club five years ago – aiming “to finish in a Champions League spot” this season.

And asked how he sees the next five years for the club, he said: “I’d like to see us win the Premier League and then the Champions League.

“Yes, I know it’s unlikely but again, not impossible – look at Atletico Madrid. We can all dream.

“We are West Ham United, we’re a big club, one of four big clubs in London. We have some catching up to do but we’ve closed the gap.

“I’m optimistic and if things go our way we could beat Real Madrid tomorrow. It’s unlikely but not impossible.”

I could be corrected, but that is the only quote I could find. I don't think he ever said we would just that is the ambition and that we had to move to realise that ambition.

As I say, we all have different opinions and we all have equal right to comment on our hatred of the board or on other peoples unrest being misplaced IMO.

All I was saying whorya is that if people can do a better job then invest, we are all unhappy about things at different times with certain things but ultimately it is a business and decisions have to be good ones!

We had enough silly decisions with egghead in charge which nearly bankrupted us, I would personally take where we are now rather than where we could of been.

Don’t get too excited

Nearly every team in the premiership is a business.

It has to be a business to ultimately compete, there is nothing I would love more than to restrict every team to a set spend but it’s not going to happen.

I would love to use the academy to bring players through but again it is very rare that this happens as teams do not have the time to bed them into the team, risking relegation and costing the owners money, is that not business?

Hi hammerdave please don't insult my intelligence hi ed can you please look into any poster slagging off soucek because I recall a few people saying he should be sold in my book that means not in words but he ain't good enough as you don't sell players you rate

Hi SDL thanks for your response to my post but all you are saying is all about if's and buts, that's exactly what sully is about if's and buts and that's all I was getting at trust me its all broken promises,I will always support west ham but can't agree with our transfer strategy's and relying on a striker who isn't really a striker and not replacing HALLER as if you think that's the way a football club is run then everyone's entitled to their opinion SDL

Totally agree bobbywhufc egghead wasn't in it for west ham only for profit which nearly bankrupted us but all I was getting at I don't like the way we do our transfer business basically which I should have stated I would support west ham if they were in the national league but I don't have to agree with sullys way he makes everything public but I'd prefer private

Agree re: the Icelandic connection but I think what nearly bankrupted us was the GFC that took them down and then nearly us in turn, not their search for profit so much.
