Would be silly to accept unless we have someone lined up as yes we need a striker but we don’t want to weaken our midfield and Barkley is not good enough now injury wise. He could never come close to filling Rice’s boots. In fact would rarely play.

Broja is 20 and brings more to the game than just goals.

Keeping Rice this window is crucial and we certainly don't want Ross barkley in return, cash only however I fear Moyes wouldn't mind barkley with then being at Everton together.

Saw the Tweet, it wouldn’t be hard to convince one’s self Rice would be let go what with the lack of any publicity photos of Rice at all on the official website. However I really don’t see that happening this summer and a journalist saying someone is excited is just journalistic rubbish. He wouldn’t gave a clue, he has no contact with Rice, and Rice isn’t about to tell a journalist that while he is contracted to West Gam anyway. Just garbage as usual.

Lingard has to end up somewhere. When he realises no-one will pay 180k per week and is more realistic he will find a club. Not sure if it will be us or other but we should just keep contact and that us all - can’t spend ages concentrating on him.

Say Chelsea offered Broja, Werner and £50m for Rice, then that would be worth considering. Chelsea are desperate for Rice, and if we’re honest he’ll want to go there, therefore, we hold the cards and could demand what we want.

Markwhu and Sdl… player exchanges for Rice might be worth considering but I think the idea of losing yet another central midfielder and only leaving us with Soucek would be a mistake.

If we’re playing, like you say Sdl, then Broja + Gallagher + Hudson-Odoi + cash for me.

That gives us a forward, a central midfielder and a player that can play as a wing back or further up the field. All are young and have bags of potential too.

I like that idea but would go Chillwell in there as we need a left back.
