So it seems that Moyes is happy to keep matsuaku around so any thoughts about strengthening Left wing back seems to be just thoughts. I know we need strikers but my real concern this season is in defence at Left and Right back positions. Cresswell is not Premier League or European calibre anymore, Matsuaku can't defend for his life, Coufal looked off the pace last season nwhich realistically leaves Ben Johnson who did a really good job. Fredericks has left which leaves our flanks open to be exploited! Time is dragging on and STILL we havn;t wrapped up AREOLA deal? We lost quite a few at the end of the last season and don't seem to be in agreat hurry to get deals done. Yes, I'm sure they are working hard behind the scenes, but I still get the feeling they are focusing again on Lingard! Are Chelsea likely now to let Broja leave, especially as Lukaku as just left? Also, Newcastle seem to be showing an interest in Broja also and time running out

Chelsea definitely won't be doing us any favours with Broja, Zouma dragged seemed like it was on and off throughout last summer.

Maehle can play both RB and LB as can johnson, doubt we could get Maehle though.

We've been linked to some good left backs, if we are spending in other areas a cheaper options could be tagliafico/pellegrini although it would be nice to see some proper investment in those Areas.

If Chelsea want RICE then we have a bit of bargaining collateral for BROJA.

We can't be signing 5-6 players then getting rid of Rice, I think we'd fall apart to much change at once.

Players will need time to settle in add to that we are suppsoed to be listening to offers for soucek.

Seeing that Chelsea may be making moves towards Rice again, this time using Broja as an overly expensive makeweight, and then, to further dilute Rice's value they want to throw in Ross Barkley as well!

No idea how much they consider Ross Barkley to be worth but I'm willing to wager it'll be a ridiculous valuation. If they want Rice, pay the money first, THEN we'll talk about Broja.

We really don't want to be getting in to any deals for our best player that involve any kind of makeweights - especially when one of the players mentioned, Chelsea are just itching to bin off because he's a busted flush.

I doubt they will buy Rice this window. They might ask but the owners surely wouldn’t sell unless Chelsea offer north of 100m because they know that they will have protests from some groups again.
