Devon, I would love him at our place, bit hit and miss but aren’t they all or they would be first choices at PSG, Real or Barcelona or any of our top 4 teams?
He’s a real aggressive player and would rattle a few defenders, a big yes from me!⚒⚒⚒

Devon, PS meant to ask, what do you mean by “Adama Traore is back for you”? ⚒⚒⚒⚒

Never got the love for Adama Traore. 8 goals and 16 assists in 160 Premier League games is an absolutely terrible return for an attacking player.

Just because he has very serious raw pace does not mean he's actually any good - because he just isn't. Sorry guys, a big massive no, no, no, no, no and no from me. Let Leeds waste their time with him.

Billy, Stats are vastly overrated imo, we are WH and know we’re not going to get the real top class players on transfer, and we desperately need another up front. ⚒⚒⚒⚒

Surely stats are one of, if not THE most important reason a professional football club is attracted to a player in the first place?

That said, it does seem that the club has been following the model of getting players in just for the sake of getting players in and not really paying much attention to their previous performance statistics.

We've had a lot more misses than hits in the old transfer department in the past and imho, signing Traore would just put another big old tick in the miss box.

Billy, one last point, I am of the older school as you may know? Agree Stats have a part to play, but they are like watching clips of video’s, Agree it may be a starting point
as a process of possible elimination but to me that’s the lazy way, what are the Scouts for, in all honesty how many times do you have to watch a player, that should tell you so much more than stats imo? ⚒⚒⚒

Honestly though, if I were a scout watching Adama Traore then I wouldn't even have to bother looking at his stats to make a decision on him.

There's a very good reason Villa, Middlesbrough and now Wolves got/want rid of him and that reason is he'll never make the grade at the highest levels.

Why Barcelona loaned him is beyond baffling (A bit like Fauberts' adventures with Real) but are they triggering the signing clause? No. No they are not and that kind of speaks volumes even if they are using the "we are skint" line.

Think we're going to agree to disagree on Traore Chelms, I just don't see him as a player that would bring any improvement whatsoever to the squad.

Watch him end up at Leeds and monster it this season! Still, I'll stand by what I say, he's just not good enough for us to be taking a risk on.

Stats are very useful but it depends how you look at them for instance looking at Traores stats particularly dribbling statistically he has some of the best dribbling stats in the world he also carries the ball further than most. Handy player to get you 20-30 yards up the pitch.

Interestingly he puts a high number of crosses into the box which looks like a good stat on the face of things until you look at his amount of assists he has which is extremely low everywhere he's been which would tell me the quality of crosses are really poor, I'm sure in some instances he does get forward that quickly there ade less option in the box to finish those crosses off.

Like you say it's similar to watching videos can all be manipulated to make a player look better watching some of traores highlights he will take on a full back with ease then it won't show you the cross after.

Or when people compare Rices tackling stats with other players that might have a similar amount of tackles but they don't show that they also make twice as many fouls.
