Well a lot of veiws on Rice but whatever we offer Rice if he wants to go he will go, of course we all want him to stay but if he leaves we must move on.

I have said all along he will not go this year unless we get a silly offer and no-one should believe the reports of unsigned contracts that came from supposed ‘insiders’ who clearly aren’t and make stuff up to fill podcasts for people to pay for. Will he sign a new contract? I and very few other people have no idea and merely speculate, the negotiations in earnest will happen over the summer no doubt and his view will be based on what the investment is like and how we then perform. I think this discussion will still be going on for a while probably still in January 24 after he returns from the World Cup as I suspect it isn’t the money he is worried about, it is merely seeing if he can achieve his goals at West Ham.

7th place he’ll stay one more year, 6th place he’ll give Europa another crack and stay if we win, otherwise club will cash in then
