Hi guys, if we got another striker then where would he fit in the squad as Moyes likes to play one up top, with Antonio given the 9 shirt it looks like he is going to start through the middle, for arguments sake let's say we sign Abraham, then I would put Antonio left of a front three, Bowen Right, Abraham through the middle, Benrahma behind Abraham, so you'll have a front three rather than one up top with three behind so at least Antonio would still be a striker, but like I said I don't think he will push a number 9 out wide now, which is going to make it tough to get an out 'n' out' striker in, players like Abraham won't want to sit on the bench again?

Strikers we target will know Antonio will not be fit for a whole season, or even capable of playing 2 games a week. So ANY striker we target will know that they WILL get gametime, and ultimately if they perform they will keep their spot. It is not like Spurs where Kane was inevitably going to be in the 9 role whenever fit, Antonio will be rested on the bench in many games and will also have an infury period out of the squad. Even if Antonio stays fit, a player like Origi/ Abraham would get MUCH more gametime with us plus EU football, and a leading striker at a smaller club will get guranteed time at a higher level.
Dont think we need to worry too much about this being an issue IMO.

Spot on Nick, also most squads in the Premier league have 3-4 strikers/ forwards! Absolutely no excuse not to get a decent striker this window.

Oh there is a reason! Now I know and understand that we lost out lots of money on Anderson, Haller and due to the ground being empty last year however, we still got Financial injection from finishing as high as we did last year. How is it that other clubs around us have managed to wheel and deal and we have not. Only Newcastle have invested less than us and they are up for sale. WHat happened to building a team on DECLAN and taking is to the next level? ALL TALK.

Stevie66 i doubt we would play 2 strikers - we need one just as cover for the injury prone and ageing Michail Antonio ; that seems to be the consenus among other fans on this board too.
