We don't want Rice to leave but in the end its his decision. We are going forward and building a decent team. i'm sure Moyes has this covered if Rice goes, let's hope the money goes to Moyes to continue building.
We all want to him to stay but i can't see it myself.
If we get Abraham + 30Mil to me its a decent deal but we all want Rice to stay.

If White is worth £50m, Rice is worth significantly more than that.

Abraham+ 30m glad you're not running the club! we can 100% get 100m for Rice he's worth every penny. Abraham is not worth 70m not even half of that.

Not sure it is a decision for Rice to make while he’s still on a 3 year contract. As the holder of his contract, it may welll be worth hanging onto him for another year to give the bigger clubs time to recoup their losses that they incurred over the last 15 months. Then Rice can improve further and we can indeed demand at least another £20m for him when clubs have more money.
This helps West Ham for another year while we retain the backbone of our midfield whilst in Europe which generate extra revenue and puts an extra £20m in the transfer kitty.
If we don’t need to sell him this year, then let’s not sell him.
I think if the club sat down with Rice and had a candid chat explaining the situation and agreed that next year, we would listen to more sensible offers when the financial crisis is over, offer him a vastly improved contract for another year - he may just accept that.
I’m of the same opinion as MarkHammer that if White is worth £50m then Rice has got to be worth at least £85m.
White never features in Euros, there are a good number of good centre backs in the premierleague pool and good defensive English midfielders like Riice are as rare as ducks teeth.

BiddefordJohn. Have to agree with Iron. Al on his comment. Abrahams plus £30m is a rip off.
Abrahams plus £60m might tempt me.
