Hi guys, surely Moyes must realise that if we pressed these teams higher up the pitch then there is a chance of free kicks in there half or just outside there box or even a chance of a penalty, we are top of the list at set pieces, Antonio looked a bit knackered to me, and that's probably because we tried to keep counter attacking it was wearing him out, Utd were there for the taking not only last night but the home fixture as well as were Liverpool, yet we come away with nothing!

{Ed077's Note - we were missing some big players. The injury list was so big that an injured Rashford had to play the full 90 (I think Ole should have subbed him for Amad) and yet you guys went in with a negative mindset, playing for a draw from the start. If ever it was time for Moyes to stop being Negative Nancy, last night was just that.

I agree Stevie and Ed, Moyes just got the balance completely wrong last night. I can accept us going slightly more defensive vs Utd, especially given that the last time we played them they ripped us up after they brought on Fernandes and Rashford (albeit we should have been 3-0 up and their Pogba goal was a) an epic finish, but b) should have been called for a throw in) . He went WAY too far though, and left us unable to even push up and get dangerous freekicks or corners. Noble should never have started, and Formals/ Lanzini should have played there. We looked the more dangerous once Lanzini and Benrahma came on (i understand UTD were also protecting their lead more) . I would have accepted a cautious approach, but that was beyond cautious for me.
I think the reason he said a simple "NO! " when asked would he have done anythiny different was because ultimately we were VERY close and only an own goal separated us. Small margins and maybe we'd have won the game is how he will justify it. Fabianski saved his skin though with those saves.
Still, Moyes has done GREAT and maybe in time he will change his approach for these games. He did say it takes time to change the ethos/ mentality of a club, and part one he said was always to engrain in the long term that we are hard team to beat. He is delivering on that, and we must trust that he will improve us further and take on these teams.

Moyes has done unbelievably well this year but he has to attack the better teams, both Liverpool and Man Utd were both very beatable but we set up so negatively we couldn’t win!
Noble is not a premier league player anymore, basically too slow and unable to get near the game, play lanzini or benrahma so we can turn defence into attack quickly, I would rather lose 3 or 4 nil and play attacking football rather than that rubbish last night.
Arsenal at the weekend, let’s attack and if we get beat then fair enough.

He will never be a very good manager rather than a decent one if the minute your up against the so called "top four" teams you play for a draw from the off, you have to have more about yourself than that tactically and professionally and I'm sorry but Noble isn't good enough to start or hardly an impact substitute so I truly am grateful of his dedication to WHUFC but now is the time for him to be retired by west ham or play at a lower league and team.
