Josh king went for £5m, we offered £13 in the summer, so why not £5m now I think it would've been a gamble worth taking,

He apparently wanted £100k plus in wages. I imagine that is why.

I am amazed we didn't sign a replacement for Haller, but at the same time I wouldn't want to throw money at someone just for the sake of signing someone. I can only think we are MAYBE looking at a free agent that can be signed outside the transfer window on a temporary basis only to sign someone permanently in the summer.

Ivan Toney would be my choice in the Summer. With Reid going to Brentford in January, maybe a deal is being lined up for him already.

Not only Toney but why don’t we get the Brentford scout as well, they always seem to find a gem, didn’t they have Scott Hogan who ended up at Villa, then they get Benrahma and Watkins and now Toney, they haven’t done too bad on the striker front.
