Rice to Chelsea rumour isn't going away, so what if Chelsea offered us Tomori and Abrahams and £50m for Rice? what would you do?

Noticed last night after the final whistle Lampard walked off the pitch with his arm around Rice and having a good chat. Don’t think he was talking about the weather.

I can assure you Chelsea won't be offering you that for Rice 😂 Maybe £60m and a Tomori loan, you've never met Marina Granovoskaia have you?

If Chelsea offered Tomori, Abrahams and £50 million. I’d accept it and reinvest the money in a a couple of positions.

We desperately need to replace Masuaku while he is out injured, we’ve recently reverted back to 4 at the back and it hasn’t been anywhere near as successful as the the 5 we did have.

Jan Boril from Slavia Prague (£2-5 million) wouldn’t be a bad option, we’ve had successful signings from there already.

You’d need a defensive midfield replacement, so I’d look at Teun Koopmeiners from AZ Alkmaar (£15-20 million) AND Alex Kral from Spartak Moscow (£15-20 million)

IF signing both Koopmeiners and Kral proves too costly and can’t be done, with agent fees, signing on fees etc. Then sign central midfielder (John Lundstram from Sheffield United (£2-8 million - contract expires next summer so quite cheap) instead.

So in short, I’d look to potentially sign.

And if I couldn’t afford both Kral and Koopmeiners, I’d sign Lundstram instead.

However I highly doubt we’ll get anything like that from Chelsea.

Wouldn’t pay too much attention to Rice talking with Lampard. Lampard was a first team player when Rice was at the academy at Chelsea, anyone who hasn’t seen someone in a while goes up to them after the game and has a chat. I would be more worried about what happens in summer if the season falls away and we don’t invest.

I would take straight cash for rice, if they offer above £75 million then take the cash and re- invest in a CB, CM and a striker.
I like balbuena but I worry when we face a Lacey striker as he is not the quickest!
The fact we need to play noble is a worry, why did he not push fornals in the middle and benrahma on the wing, noble would do a good job in the championship and that is where he should be looking now, premier league is too fast for him now unfortunately.
We do need a striker in quick, haller has had a decent run and although I like him we simply do not play to his strengths and cannot change the system for one player! Go for Sima in January to test the waters, although I do not see why they do not give our young strikers a chance.

Odubeko is our best young striker but he's been out injured. Silva looked good but bad injuries and now on loan.

If we take Rice out of the team without a replacement ready to step up we will Struggle we would be left with one established CDM in soucek we could go out by someone with the rice money but they could flop and we would be incredibly weak with one decent cdm/ cm.

What the correct thing to do would be is to scout good young players who we can slowly bed into the team and know they can step up when players leave.

The time might be right for chelsea to sign Declan but it's not the right time for us to sell. He is under contract and I do not think he will do a payet or arnautovic no chance!

If we are going to sell him get replacements in now tell chelsea where to go at 70million. Get closer to 100 and then maybe we will consider selling our best asset earlier than we should! Look at the money they spent on Havert, Werner kepa. I'd be insulted if they offered us less than what they paid for those lot Rice is established captain in premier league at 20 and england international playing in the most important position on the pitch.

Also I read that the owner of slava Prague wants 50 million for Sima.

Perhaps we should give Coventry some game time when things are going well what he's capable of.

To build a top side we need to keep players like Rice. We need to move on players like; Haller, Anderson, YAmarlenko etc and replace with good English players like; Abrahams, Tarkowski etc.
We also need to make Rice our top paid player.
