On the Dawson front - I’ve just read that Watford owe us compensation for Ngakia. It could be that Dawson is practically free on balance, once everything is sorted.

I’m sure his wages will be a damn site higher than Ngakia’s, though, even though he might not play much as a backup CB.

Free is far too much.

Go and have a look on some Watford forums and see what they think of Craig Dawson. I'll give you a clue. It ain't good. Honestly, the blokes not good enough for a league 1 club so why on God's green earth someone thinks he's good enough for a PL club is, frankly, baffling.

Dawson has signed on loan, i'm ok with that back up in a position we needed squad depth in.

I don't know why anyone is happy with the loan signing of Dawson even if it is only as back up. He's beyond awful and was literally the worst CB at Watford, which is why they were so happy to offloaded him.

How does he warrant a place in our squad? Oh, wait, I can answer my own question there. Will Salthouse. That's how we've ended up with a player who I suspect will be every bit as successful as Roberto should he ever get anywhere near the pitch.
