Rice wants to go supposedly. We need players. Why don't we take Loftus Cheek, Barkley and Abraham's in return. I understand we need defenders, but these 3 would improve our side incredibly. Chelsea might do it to remove them from pay structure. Only an idea, but if they're are desperate for Rice and we need good players, it works for both clubs.

Getting these 3 would allow us to lose Anderson and Haller. Might have to be initial loans for £3-5m, but with guarantee to buy at end of season.

Loftus-Cheek would've been my first choice of any Chelsea players in a makeweight deal. Until I looked in to his injury a bit deeper and it seems his Achilles rupture was really bad and the chances are he'll never recover fully. I like RLC but there's a not insignificant risk he'll end up another Dyer, Carroll or Wilshire.

His chronic back problem will never go away but he's been able to manage it without the need for surgery thus far. Agreed, it's another reason not to sign him but it's his Achilles that is now the more insidious of the two injuries.

I’m still not sure about all of this rice rumour. I like many do not want him to leave, but at the end of the day if the isn’t happy what can you do, you can only offer him so much to try get him to stay. As for the three player swap deal, I don’t know what rice is on wage wise. But u can be sure if we took the three or any three (not Rudiger for the love of god, anyone who thinks he can play best start to watch a new sport, he is in a word crap) I digress, but if we took three in a swap deal surely the wage scenario would be a nightmare. I know people will be saying if we get any players the wage bill will go up, but let’s face it they will be on high wages at Chelsea, and they will want the same if not more because at the end of the day players get greedy. If he does go then we need to get as much money as possible from the, if the right player is available then so be it. But as SDL said in another post unless we see it happen then just keep the tabloids crap at a distance. Either way, COYI, let’s have a performance tonight and make a statement wether rice plays or not that screw the press, let’s get on with the job at present.

Whitby I’m not against him moving on but with the way this window the timing is wrong Barkley is on 1/ 120k a week yes he would improve the team but we would have then shift someone from midfield which we are struggling to do.

I truly cannot for the life of me understand why people think that getting shot of HALLER would improve our side, i will argue till i'm CLARET and BLUE in the face that HALLER is top draw footballer of that i'm sure and why do we want BARKLAY and another WILSHIRE in LOFTUS-CHEEK ill tell you what ill take KANTE and money thanks a direct replacement for RICE otherwise tell chelsea we ain't interested take it or leave it.
