Not sure what to make of that win against Charlton only managed to listen on Talksport so can't say who was making the effort

Does it say that Haller can do it against lower league games but isn't good enough for the PL and did Anderson manage to get balls in and what of our youngsters Cullen seems to be doing OK but nobody else getting a look on.

Cullen showed he has a lot to his game. Hard working, composed, good range of passing, likes a tackle, tracked back and got foward aswell. All round he looks good it's just a question if he could do that in the prem.

Suprinsly they all looked up for it, I say surprisingly as so many times in recent years we have put out teams full of players that should have something to prove wanting to fight for a place and they have really underperformed. Today was differnt they looked at It, I think you could easily drop Fornals, Noble and cresswell for the arsenal game based on what those players showed tonight, can't see Moyes ringing too many changes though.

Iron. Al, did you get the game streaming from the Carabao Cup Website? Thanks for the game info, I’m a big Haller critic but will be delighted to be converted, did he actually break sweat and work for his goals, also Anderson did he contribute apart from his goal? Know very little of Cullen so good to hear you rated him last night👍 Arsenal game will be a real tester against a top side! ⚒⚒⚒⚒.

Morning Guys

Merceri. I have to totally disagree with the comment on Haller, this guy is intelligent skilful holds the ball well and has plenty of ways to score in his locker, what he is not getting is a continuous place in the side or service to convert when he is on the field.

His a goal scorer striker not a AM mid that picks the ball up in dribbles and shoots, i'm hoping Moyes will give him a decent run in the side, but not as a lone striker, which I think he is being judged on here, he needs support.

If he gets that and still fails to convert chances than fair enough, I think its a little unfair to judge him the way Moyes sets up now

Moyes for me over thinks so many things in the way we play, it seems he looks at the opposition and thinks how do we stop them scoring, rather than play to our best personnel in their correct positions and let the opposition worry about us for a change.

If we sit back and defend from the outset against Arsenal ( which I feel we will), with 1 up top, than Arsenal will score and than he will juggle with the team to try get a goal back, I just wish for once play offensive but be balanced in defence, not just wait for the onslaught and break away. Obviously most will disagree but that's how I see it.

Hi Warrington, I agree that we don’t really start playing until we go a goal down, I really wish we would attack from the first whistle, we need pace in the side, as I’ve said before pace frightens defenders.

Yes chelms streamed it through the efl site. Haller linked the play well and was given good service.

I agree with what warrington says regarding Haller it's all about the type of service we give him. If we can get players around him that's when he's going to be effective in scoring and assisting. You could see glimpses of that the start of last season when we had antonio and anderson getting close to him. Then antonio and fabianski get injured suddenly the whole team is defending deep to defend an awful keeper and he no longer gets service.

It was a very disjointed first season for him in my opinion personally I think given the right service he is quality and he should start with antonio supporting from out wide.

As for Anderson he seemed a lot more willing to actually run at defenders and use his pace. Lanzini linked well with everyone. yarmo bags of flare always looking to make something happen. Lots of positives you could make a case for a lot of them to start.

I'm sorry but I don't want to branded as confrontational but on the HALLER topic a non football watcher can see the guy is top class and a level above ANTONIO IMO not that I don't like ANTONIO but HALLER has that touch and finesse which he hasn't but I think they could play together and would scare any defence IMO . COYI.

Sooner or later, I’m going to get tired of posting:

If Haller starts 30 PL games, he will score at least 15.

Markro I'm with you. Have watched him in the Bundesliga and he has the ability, we need to create opportunities.
