Apparently ManU have either signed or virtually signed Van de Beek, which leaves the door open as he replaces Jesse Lingard and as Moyes worked with him we could be favourites to sign him if available? I would say I would love him at our place, but can't believe he would choose us and nobody else would be interested? Any comments posters? âš’âš’âš’âš’.

Possibly the worst post I have ever seen.

Hi Chelms I agree think he would be good signing, but can't see how we can afford him we have other needs first fullbacks and striker.

Problem with Lingard is where would we play him. He’d expect 1st team football.

Id say left wing Mark him down one side and Bowen down right wouldn't be too shabby.

Literally zero evidence that Lingard would perform out on the 'left wing'. Nonsense comment.

Lingard would not join West Ham and I doubt we would even look to sign him.

Lingard would be an absolutely horrible signing. You guys must not watch united play for the past 2 seasons, he's been terrible

A huge step backwards. 1 goal last season in 22 apps, and i'm almost certain he didn't even register an assist as "a creative attacking midfielder" - I'm pretty sure there was a running joke on social media about it

We need a striker and defenders. Lingard would be a completely ridiculous signing.

TK, to be honest ManU is a team I really dislike and I don’t ever bother to watch even highlights of any of their games, so I am obviously unaware of his recent form! Maybe I should have kept quiet🤣 I was basing my opinion on his age, injury free as far as I know, former international, Premiership player, seems better credentials than some of those we are paying £100k per week to, only to sit on the bench, only commented as I knew he was available, not a must have, I would prefer much prefer a tough old fashioned front man that rattles a few defenders cages but it’s always about who is available, not who we want! Just thought I would say why I commented this on the post! ⚒⚒.

Hi Chelms

Lingard for some reason has gone backwards last 2 years, he is / was a talent but for some reason he drifted off his game, we are in urgent need of a striker and full backs, it looks like we have to sell to buy I thought by getting rid of Anderson who for me is a hit and miss luxury player we would be able to fill a striker position, but if I read correctly we will not get anything near what we paid for him, and if we are in a position where we need to sell to buy, I fear Rice may be sacrificed if Chelsea come in big, with Werner going to Chelsea they may be movement for Giroud and cash for Rice, but I honestly don't think Giroud would want to go to WH,

We just can't go into the new season with only Haller as a striker, OK Antonio did a great job after the lockdown, but we desperately need a proven striker,

Usually you look at the Prem and say this or that team will struggle, but last year proved that it was a lottery going down, now Leeds are up, WBA under Billic will be tricky and Fulham under Parker seem organised it really difficult to see what teams are favs to go down, Under Moyes we have structure and we still have decent squad just lacking in a few positions,

Im not to over the moon with our fixtures and need to get a few wins under our belt to get us going, if we start slow and struggle early on we could be in for yet again and nail biting season, unfortunately we just have not got the resources to progress, they do say teams seem to struggle for a couple years when hanging around the relegation zone constantly before going down, let's just hope we can steer clear this year.

Lingard is a good player who is full of his own importance, therefore his game will/ has regressed due to his lack of focus.

Until he stops all the media blogging etc then he’ll always be unfulfilled talent!

Centre forwards don't have to be big bruisers i think we left that sort of football 10 years ago i'd much prefer a silky footballer up top rather than a big bruiser. COYI.
