Why don't they show a bit of ambition and go for Butland he's a ready made number one, Fab will always be our first choice but with this injury (that could keep hampering him), and the fact he will be 35 before the end of the season, they might have to start looking at someone who can step up and be the number one? Just a thought.

I am a huge fan of Butland, I thought he should be England No.1 ahead of Pickford.
Problem is his price, which is too high for a No2 GK, given we have Fab as No.1 when fit, and the bulk of our money needs to go on 1st team players in CM. Also, He would not want a move that sees him back in the PL as a No2, as Fab's injury is not known to be a long term thing. If he goes anywhere it is to be the No1 GK.

Good news with Fab apparently, maybe only out for a couple of weeks? Why did somebody at the club not have the common sense or even Fab himself to request a defender to take all dead ball kicks for a number of weeks to ensure not aggravating the surgery, I am quite amazed at what I call incompetence on the medical team, or I am I missing something here? WTF are our medical team about, especially after sanctioning the fitness of Wilshere which even I knew would turn out to be anther Andy Carroll signing! We possibly need to think maybe about a new number one keeper as Stevie suggested now as this could be a reoccurring problem at his age? âš’âš’âš’.

Let’s say we signed Butland tomorrow, he’s quite capable of going straight into the team for the weekend, he would want to show Southgate what he can do with the Euros coming up, and if he was to impress we could give Fab a little more time to recover, it’s all ifs and buts, and just my opinion.

Think it’s IronMikes brother😂 I tend to agree Mike with your Butland comment but seen very little of him lately due to Championship, but would think he’s still decent? Was terrific a few seasons ago until he sustained the injury that kept him out for a long period, never seemed the same keeper to me when he returned. The most we can hope for in a keeper is the a decent one from a limited choice, just a pity they are subjected to more criticism when they make a real bowler in a game! ⚒⚒⚒.

Whorya, yeh I know mate, but surely and hopefully cannot be that bad, that would be utter incompetence to buy another sick-note! i was more than happy to see him back with the proviso he was ready to start on Saturday based on my opinion when he was with us! However Etheridge wasn’t going to break the bank was he, providing he was fit, apparently, £5M rising to £6 with add on’s I read? If Martin hadn’t made that howler of miscued out ball to Balbuena against Sheffield U, I wouldn’t have been so concerned, but he also has recently had an injury problem, was that maybe some cause of his mistake? We surely can’t have 3 Keepers all with injury problems that could possibly effect our Premiership status?

Let's hope RANDY ain't out if at all injured for too long, so EVERTON at home I'm pretty sure our home record against them isn't great so time to Chang things I won't be going tomorrow in a way I'm glad if there's protests planned if so let's not frighten the kids and the elderly the only people we should be scarying is on the pitch and that's the opposition also I don't think MOYES record against his old clubs is great so come on lads let's change theses statistics and get a win .
