Is Pellegrini proving any better than Moyes, Bilic and Alladyce? I think not. We get knocked out of cups by major clubs like Wimbledon (who were bottom of div 1) and Oxford. Pellegrini has had the biggest transfer budget in our history and one or two decisions are proving questionable.

I think see how we do in the FA Cup and whether we come 7th or 8th at end of season. If neither show progression then a change could be had.

Shame Redknapp's not a few years younger. He'd sort our playing style out!

This is a good opportunity to throw a few names out there if and it’s a big IF the manager was changed, I will throw a couple of names out there; Dyche and Howe, would that be acceptable to you guys or would it seem like a backward step, be interesting to know your thoughts?

Very interesting point, but personally I do not think we consider this unless we have a TERRIBLE season, which is very unlikely. Bottom line remains that we have been knocked out of a cup early (but the players that day were the problem, not the manager) and we have faded in the league (so far) . However, we are not likely to flirt with relegation, we play good football now, and the team is also still improving and transitioning. I'd say that we are still making progress, albeit slowly.
I do not think we can compare MP to Moyes or Bilic. I loved Bilic, but the move to the London stadium and all the negativity around the club that came with it killed the momentum from the unforgettable final Upton Park season (not to mention Payet) . IMO we could have had Klopp or Pep in charge that season and they would not have done much better. He is proving he is a good manager now at West Brom. Moyes never really had a chance to build a team, he performed a rescue mission, not a building operation. Although signing Hugill did not help him.
MP is not perfect (I too question some of his subs), but we should not be questioning his position at the club right now. The players up front need to gel, and most importantly they need to be more clinical. If they HAD done this, then we would have beaten Palace and Sheff Utd, and would be sitting clear in 5th, just 2 points off 4th. It is a very fine line in the PL, and we are not far off where we want to be. 10 games in and I think we have only been the worse team TWICE (Man City and Everton) Had we taken our chances we would all be happy with our start.

How fickle fans are in general. A story went around a few weeks ago about MP not getting anew contract yet and the owners saying we will wait till later in the season. Social media was in uproar with the noisy kids ones saying the owners were wrong, give him an extended contract, and basically saying the owners didn’t know what they were doing. Some of those same people are now calling for MPs head. I think if we are going to grow as a club we need some patience.
