Well 3rd in the table isn't a bad start - it may even have been a little better but it makes a lovely change looking down that table than always over our shoulder - the cup result was a shocker but we've had a number of these over the years, I do disagree with those who have said they would take a cup win for dropping out of the prem - I accept you get a day out at Wembley but, recent cup winners Brum/ Wigan theyd swap places anyday to be in the prem, how much of a squad would we have if we were relegated! we've been through that before so fellow Irons sorry to say as much as I'd love a cup win its the prem for me-rather than the demands of the championship - Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday.

I agree with your positivity and am not sure I would want us to be relegated. For me I couldn’t care less about the league cup but I think the FA Cup is special and want to see us make areal effort for it. I think we are really progressing under Pelle. The one thing I don’t like which I feel came in under Fat Sam was premiership survival at all cost. Let’s get the 40 points and relax. For me it’s the style in which we play is so important. Which generally at this moment is very good!
