Sam Byram having an absolute blunder against city. playing incredibly well against the champions and team that spanked us 5-0 at home.

How much did we sell him for again. £750k? absolutely horrendous business from us.

Totally agree he was outstanding never had a chance at West Ham with the injuries I thought it was as low as £450K probably worth £10million on that display.

i thought the fee of £750k was ridiculous when I read it, they may as well have given him away, perhaps Delia Smith offered all her recipe books as well in the deal! Why have we wasted time and money on the likes of Carroll, Reid, Wilshere etc on immoral wages and horrendous injury records when the likes of Byram and maybe others haven’t been afforded the same treatment? My son in law is a Forest fan and whilst he was there, couldn’t understand why we loaned him out, he thought he was outstanding at times, although yes he had injury problems, but he wouldn’t have been on £90k?

{Ed001's Note - bit of an over reaction after one game isn't it? The lad has serious problems staying fit, it was time the Hammers cleared those kind of players out. It is not just the wages that drain the club, it is higher insurance costs and paying for surgery, rehab etc.}

Ed, it’s just my opinion, you have more inside info at your disposal than the average poster on here! It just bloody angers me at 5 star treatment of certain individuals that contribute very little, are they not inflicting higher costs on the club then?

{Ed001's Note - yes but Byram was not good enough when he played and you all moaned about him. Now he has gone and had one good game and you all are whining he was allowed to leave! The club can't win. He is not a top class right back, he just had a good game in a very limited role. He would not be asked to play like that for West Ham, so would not perform like that. If he could even stay fit, because there is almost no chance of him staying fit in the long term. Even at Norwich he is only a back up and will only play while Aarons is out injured.}

He no longer plays for us - ‘nuff said.

No we’re not all whining it was 2 comments, what’s the point in having this site if we can’t comment, you sound like you want to stifle comments and you are the one who’s always right! It’s about opinions Ed!

{Ed001's Note - if I wanted to stifle comments I would just delete them, get a grip for heaven's sake! I was giving my opinion, just like you gave yours, or is it only allowed if it agrees with yours? It is not me trying to stifle opinion.}

Who moaned about Byram?

The only issue was his fitness as when he did play he always done alright! Very feisty player and the general opinion of mist West Ham players is we let him go too cheap!

He is not good. enough for West hsm. He was terrible in pre season. Let's see later in the season he has had one good game. More than he ever had for us.

Ed is spot on BYRAM looked out of his depth when given a chance not a great chance but he was given game time in his defence it's extremely difficult to make a name for yourself when you ain't given a 10 game run in the first 11 but Frederick is starting to prove he's a very good R/ B he was always thought to be and ED is spot on again when aarons is fit he plays so if BYRAM ain't good enough to start for NORWICH then he ain't good enough for us in not trying to get on ED'S Xmas card list but judge him after a run of 20 games in the starting 11 we will never see because he won't start that many IMO. COYI.

Completely agree Worya48. While I agree with some that he did not get his full chance at WHU, when he did he was only OK. How much moaning have we all done about all the injured players on our books, Sam Byram was one of them and we got rid. I do not think any of us fans have any grounds to say the club did wrong here. High risk and was only a backup, plus we had Johnson coming through!
He is not better than Fredricks, plus I believe we have a sell on % on him, ed? 100% correct decision. It's Norwich's gain if they manage to get a good player out of what was only supposed to be a cheap backup buy, they took the high injury risk on, which NONE of us fans wanted at West Ham
Good luck to Sam at Norwich though, he's a good lad.

{Ed001's Note - I believe there is a sell on yes.}
