Morning All
Having had an absolute disastrous season both on the field and in the transfer market I was wondering if anyone agreed that instead of trying to buy average players that next season we may try to bed in our youngsters, I don't mean we jeopardise relegation but start to build a home grown team for a couple seasons in advance and give them a chance after reading positive comments about them all

Obviously we would need experience along side these players but I really don't see the point on just keep shipping out on loan when we buy total trash.
I like Cullen, Oxford, Burke Samuelson, and we have Fletcher to name a few and surely prem experience can only be gained in the premier league

Fletcher has not been given a chance this year which has hugely disappointed me, and just feel the cream of the kids should start to be bedded in.

We have not got a cat and hells chance going to challenge for the top 6 next year, and as long as we avoid the drop what have we to lose bedding these in, this would save money in average transfer players and inturn allow the money to be spent on identifying quality not quantity.

No matter what Bamby Woods or Linda Lovelace say ( DGS) we have not got the financial clout to get anywhere near the top 6, so we may as well get the youngster if good enough and bed them in. You just never know as Mr Hanson found out one year!

Looks like we may have to use the kids after all but in the Championship!

I agree. I reckon we could also do with some experience around them. Bring back Carrick who's contract expires in the summer, go get some half decent strong defenders with some pace, a play making midfielder and couple strikers.

I agree. Give the youth a chance. I wonder how Oxford/ Burke etc feels seeing the club linked with all these other Defenders? A few of them came to West Ham because they thought they were more likely to get first team football. how much longer will they hang about if we keep making signings like Fonte and John Terry links?
