Commiserations to Julen Lopetegui in the loss of his father earlier this week. Football takes a back seat in these circumstances when you lose a loved one.RIP.

Agreed best wishes to LOP and his family at a time like this. In all fairness to him, let's see what we play like when he knows his settled first 11 and we have a proper striker

My biggest fear in life is the day that I lose my father. Another prayer I will say for you Lopetegui.

Know where your coming from, I came from a poor family, there was always food not much else’, My mum passed when I was a boy, she asked me to make her proud, much later on I was very successful at business, it was my prayer that she could see me and take pride in the young boy she left behind

Caligula/ Joyful, I know where you’re both coming from, I was 14 hrs old in 1959 when my Dad passed of C. Thrombosis, he was only 54! Awful feeling with your Peers at that young age as you Joyful will well be aware of!
Just spend as much time Caligula with Dad as you can and tell him how much you love and appreciate him, wasn’t able to say that to my Dad as I was too young but hopefully made up for it with my Mum??who passed in 1979!

My father died at age 45yrs, just five days before my ninth birthday in 1959. He was the funniest, loveliest man I’ve ever known. My mother was killed in a road traffic accident on holiday in Majorca in 1973. She was 57. I’m an atheist, so prayers mean nothing to me, but I do know one thing - there’s not a day that passes when I don’t think about my parents and what a happy childhood they created for my sister and I. Cherish the time you have with them.
