We really need our players out on loan to perform well at their new clubs, so that they become indispensable. We don’t want any of them back at the end of the season.

If Antonio is being preferred to Füllkrug, we really have got problems up front. Antonio was useless against City. Füllkrug is a target centre forward and he needs decent service to flourish. The way JLop has set up his teams so far does not accommodate a target centre forward and that’s why he looks ineffective. He is a good striker. Having said that, we obviously made a gigantic mistake in not signing Duran from Villa. He’s worth everything Villa wanted, and more. He would have completed a perfect transfer window and would have helped even up the difference between us and City. Although JLop was right to hook the useless Antonio off, I cannot understand why he brought on Soucek and Coufal. Their introduction did nothing for our effectiveness and in fact looked like a backward step.
