Poor performance again, we are totally porous at the back, unless this is sorted out pronto, we will have a very poor season irregardless of the forward line, Loppy has a lot of work to do here, I'm not expecting a great season whilst all the new faces adjust, hope we get it together after a few games the seasons coming up fast

You can’t take pre season too seriously. Only 3 of the starting 11 will probably be regulars. Kudus, Kilman and Emerson. It’s all minutes, was it the season before last we got beat 5-0 by rangers that season turned out ok. Once we get AWB and another CB plus alphonse back it’s a different defence completely and I think we are stronger.

Phew, I stayed up to watch and we are so easy to get at. Little or no protection from the midfield and out wide we look suspect every time teams come forward. Coufal is so easy to get at and offers little going forward. I'm not sure what SOUCEK's role is in this team anymore because he looks lost. Aguerd is to prone to making an almighty cock up.

Remainder of this wondow HAS to be on defenders who can actually defend and to get rid of COUFAL, SOUCEK, JWP and AGUERD and HOPEFULLY ZOUMA but that's asking a lot.

As Joyful says " unless this is sorted out pronto, we will have a very poor season" and yeah, this was pre-season but, our defending is woeful especially if you consider we just paid £40m for KILMAN and its not improved matters. Its out wide where we struggle and no support from the midfield

Soucek and jwp are the problem, poor in possession, no protection for the defence and no support for the press. Simple as that we've all known for a long time, fingers crossed alvarez is back training soon and rodriguez comes straight in. Don't want to see either one of them start both terrible.

Im with you Iron Al …. I think Soucek will be a useful squad player but JWP needs to be sold whilst he still holds value. He just doesn’t suit our style of play and as has been said before on here his dead ball skills are just average! If he wants to go back to Southampton then let's use him as a make weight for KWP. KWP and £7m for JWP? I’d snap their hands off!

I think LOP will have seen all he needs to see from Coufal, aguerd, soucek and JWP and I reckon if they stay they will be reduced to bench warming.

Think it's time to move on from AWB. Whilst he would be a big upgrade on Coufal, we had the same messing about from man utd over players in the past. If it was united wanting AWB from us I'll bet it would be done now so move on

@dabber, I was hoping we'd keep downes and give them jwp instead. I'm sure from a footballing view he'll out preform jwp and soucek this season.

Mmpr, it was am hour game where paqueta, bowen, ings, cornet, zouma played. Not seen what team palace out out but I wouldn't be surpsied it was full of youth.

It's only a pre season game. We lost everyone in 1985 . Yet went within one game of the title . We won every game in 2010 yet finished bottom . Only 2 or 3 will start the villa game . Honestly some of our supporters are talkrubbishs wet dream . Pack it in .
