And latest rumour Lingard is flying to London presently but has meetings with West Ham and Forest who look like the late front runners with a higher offer. My guess is he will try to get us to up the offer to match Forest (but just a guess). Don't think we should be blackmailed.

Broja Chelsea still want to loan out and possibly Newcastle to take the loan approach?

Will be interesting if what started as a positive week with rumours ends with nothing.

OK, so Lingard is looking for the best deal and to be honest, we have had long enough to seal this deal. Forest are clearly showing a lot of ambition (whether good or bad) buy offering him a very attractive package. What we have to ask is, if we wanted him so badly why didn't we offer just as good a package? He is a free transfer?

Sorry Miss Daisy but i don't agree We have a wage structure in place and i think it would cause big problems in the future with our players.
Its time to walk away from Lingard we only have 2 weeks to get our players fit and Lingard is way behind them.

Lingard to have medical with Notts Forest. I got to admit everybody that I am sick of hearing who we are talking with, interested in, mulling over, pondering a deal with. Do the god damn business properly and stop scatter gun approach and get the players we need

We didn’t pay lingard what he wanted because he doesn’t deserve what he’s asking for. He plays half a season with us, scores a few goals and thinks he’s the next messiah. Who says he’s going to replicate that form again? Why should we pay him £150,000 a week which is more than the players we have earn who worked their nuts off for the team last season.
Let the greedy bustard go and play elsewhere.

{Ed001's Note - I don't understand the Lingard hype, he has never ever in his career had a sustained run of good performances. Even at West Ham he had injuries and dips in form and he was only with you a few months!}
