Why don't we go in for Bale at the end of the season? He'll want to play for 1 or 2 years due to the World Cup. He could share the duties with Antonio. Bale has made his money, therefore he'll probably accept £75-100k per week. He scored 16 goals for Spurs last season. He still has the X Factor. He'd do us a turn for 12-18 months and give DM time to strengthen the squad in other areas.

{Ed002's Note - Bale will not be accepting such wages. WHU have no interest.}

Yes his wages are well beyond anything we would pay

He'll be 33 by then may have to start cutting his cloth accordingly; i can see an incentive in that he could semi-prove he is not the mercenary figure many hint he is

He is flaky; so would only offer him one year at a time contract and see how he pans out.

No club will pay him anything over £150k per week, therefore offering £75-100k per week would seriously interest him due to the fact he’ll need to be playing to be able to get in the Wales squad, should they qualify for the World Cup.

Exactly - turkeys don't vote for Xmas; and there is no way a Welshman of 33 would miss a rare World Cup for his country
