Newcastle have put a deal together for Lingard, £2m loan fee and paying his wages, why are West Ham not all over this, if Utd think that Lingard could get us into top 4 then why aren't Utd playing him?

Because Man U don’t want to loan him to us or Spurs and prefer he go to Newcastle maybe. I would guess Man Utd would tell us if we were any him we have to buy, no loan.

Whats the betting that something happens with Lingard to us AFTER this weekend when we play UNITED. I reckon they don't want him to come to us until after we play them?

C&h reporting Newcastle have offered a 10m signing on fee and 200k a week for him to sign in the summer if they stay up.

Hmmm, They got LEEDS, EVERTON, VILLA and then us and then they face Brentford and Brighton before they they then get CHelsea and the rest of the big boys. If by some miuracle Burnley win the 3 games in hand they got it would leave toon 5 points adrift of safety. Would you really go to them? Not me, not if I had ambition cause they winning nothing this year

It looks like Utd will let him go for a £3.5m loan, that’s nothing, after what he did for us last season how can we say no?

Burnley - yeah how could they afford to sell Chris Wood?! I see they are after some 29 yr old AM as replacement.

He had a release clause that was met nothing they could do.

Just read Man U don’t want to loan Lingard they want to sell him, Newcastle still Interested, as are spurs and West Ham, but Man U have no intention of letting him go to a top four rival team apparently, also Lingard is keen to go to Newcastle after they signed his friend trippier…. (he wants a bigger pay packet then)

Heard Newcastle have bid 12m to sign lingard out right. Scrap lingard, invest in fabio Carvalho instead.

He would no doubt want a relegation release clause, but will likely go to Newcastle if he can get that.

Howe apparently won't sign a player that wants a release clause

If that’s true about Howe not wanting to sign players with a release clause good on him, there’s to much player power and greed considering their wages in the PL!
There are perhaps certain conditions to be considered but how about a few clauses in players contracts that clubs under certain circumstances clubs shouldn’t have to tolerate?

Did just read Lingard is preparing for a move to London and West Ham - the rumours just throw a bundle of darts knowing eventually one will hit the board.

I’m no longer interested in the Lingard saga.

{Ed077's Note - more importantly, is he interested in the West Ham saga?

I think he hasn’t been since June and people need to realise he isn’t a Hammer. He enjoyed his time but it was a means to an end for him, though it didn’t quite work out the way he hoped when he got back to United. Now he gas another decision to make either in January or end of season, but he owes us nothing.

Ed077

I think West Ham is nearly a very good side. The squad is currently too thin though.

Lingard clearly enjoyed his time with us and did remarkably well. Any hope he had that that success would boost his playing time at Man U has gone now. I suspect that Solskjaer simply wasn’t honest with him.

He now has to decide on his future with so little time left on his contract. Media reports have Newcastle, Spurs and us interested. Wherever he goes, I wish him well. He’s a decent player.

{Ed077's Note - I think he needs to find a club where he can play regularly and where he enjoys himself, like his loan stint at WHU last season. He showed everyone that he can contribute to the team under the right circumstances.

We only want players who want to play for west ham and imo he doesn't so steer clear anyway he wasnt great in the last 8ish games call it sour grapes but that's my stance on the whole lingard saga.
