BBC reporting Lingard rejects new contract. Sell Yarmo in January and divert wages?

Lingard s contract ends in Summer 2022, so his financial worth to them is decreasing rapidly monthly? Unless he is playing hardball with ManU, Yarmo is an absolute drain on resources as you say, so. not to many would be unhappy to see him go even though financially we will take a massive loss, but less than on Anderson?
So surely a move to us would be upmost in his mind, even though he will have lots of offers? He was an instant hero with us, he knows he will be a guaranteed starter in the first team and his relationship with DM and staff would clinch a move to us imo?
If that was the case, the player to move over for him would be Benrahma I think, although he is now coming good, but DM is still not his biggest fan imo, Fornals and Bowen are much more DM type of players, so interesting to see if Lingard really intends to leave ManU? âš’âš’âš’âš’âš’.

Lingard was great for us but trailed off towards the end off the last 5 games. We all agree Lingard is a great player and had a wonderful spell at WH
Now ill ask the question do we really need him? now that Benrahma starting to shine who would u drop to include Lingard. I say its a great time for Moyes he has 3 months to asses how Vlasic and Kral work out, it looks like Moyes and co. are starting to build a team we have waited so long for, yes we have had some great players in the last 20 years but never a team with so much potential as the players we have now.
Another centre forward would be nice and get rid of the remaining dross. perfect.

Yes, even if Lingard makes contact with a view to coming back, Moyse has plenty of time to look at Vlasic before January.

I think the tide is turning re Lingard and the ball is more in our court than his.

Isn’t it good that the interesting times we are living in are positive ones?

As a very expensive drain on resources, who rarely plays, we should move Yarmolenko on. Especially with the arrival of Vlasic.

I think Jesse is doing the right thing. I think UTD were asking too much for him considering his age, we got Vlasic for the same price and he has 5 years more in him so a chance we could profit or break even, with Jesse it was not the case.
Jesse may not play as much as he wants at UTD this term, but he WILL have offers either in Jan or at end of contract. Whereas if he signs for UTD he is basicaly accepting backup/ rotation player status as they will only spend big on new arrivals over time that will get ahead of him.
We get time to assess others, and maybe Yarmo/ Lanzini go next summer and Jesse is the man. or maybe he has beter option elsewhere. I know he tailed off slightly last season, but he was still brilliant!

I get it LINGARD wanted to stay and fight for his place at UTD but i ain't buying a bar of it this is what i think he did after being successful at ours he then said he would stay and fight for his place knowing that UTD would more than likely sign a player or 2 so he thought a bigger club than west ham would come in for him and that didn't happen now i don't think he set out to do it but he used us to help out a bigger move and i'm not saying that's wrong but basically what i'm saying is he has no interest in WEST HAM so why should we take him back because he has no other option call me oldschool but i wouldn't be unhappy not to see him in a west ham shirt again.

Definitely Lingard tried to use the loan and our interest to get some better deal but why shouldn't he? If he comes back in January great, if not so be it too. I think Vlasic could be a good pickup, jury still out on Benhrama, his performance against the Saints was absolutely woeful and surprised it took DM so long to hook him.

I said I'm not saying he was wrong doing what he did but I only want players in a west ham shirt who want to play for west ham and not their bank accounts which is what most players want all of the time let's get players in claret and blue who want to play for west ham you never hear soucek Or coufal mentioning money they are my kind of player.

And in pre season everybody was lauding benrhama as the second coming he has one bad game and yes 2 bob how fical some fans are.

I don't know too many who thought pre-season anything different about Benhrama. I think the jury is still out. He has some ability and flashes, he can play some good passes, but overall he doesn't appear to work hard enough for the team and tends to fade out of the game if things aren't going his way. Let's see how he goes but he needs to be more consistent and work hard, anyone I know says exactly that.

I have never rated Benrahma to highly, best I can say about him is, he has contributed more at least than Haller/ Anderson/ Wilshere put together, so that’s not saying much. Yes he has some decent touches, but shouldn’t every player at least do something in a PL club shirt that contributes to a team.
He is definitely not a DM type of player, he needs to work harder and release the ball sooner instead of trying to impress, keep it simple in tight situations, but any player should do that automatically unless they have exceptional ability!
Looking forward as all of us for tonight’s first Euro game.

In pre-season the world and his wife were saying what a player benrahma is now he's no good and if he ain't DM type of player why did we buy him and why don't he play KRAL if DM likes hard workers the games changed chelms its more the flair type of players that's why the big strapping No9 who puts himself about ain't about the best striker in the world LEWANDOSKI is a flair player who scores great goals look at UTD fernandes pogba ronaldo sancho people have to realise the game has changed so i think DM has done a decent job i just don't like his approach and tactics against bigger teams.

Again Harrison, I don't think everyone was saying what a player Benrahma is, most people said he has ability but doesn't work back and can lose the ball a lot. Sometimes I think people have a view and then look for things that support that view, as the jury has always been out on him for the main.

As regards attacking MF - Yarmo seems to have been signed as a kind of winger but in his early tenure; also seemed to play deep lying forward. If he is a striker he needs to start scoring goals otherwise we have enough AM players and should move him on ASAP.

I read the reports after one pre season game with rave reviews SDL its going to be another HALLER for me a player not playing in his favourite position BENRAHMA is a no10 playinfg behind a frontman for me DM is getting away with it with FORNALS who imo is a no10 i see him play there for villareal you can't expect them to play on the wing as neither player has pace and for me SDL a winger needs to have pace just look at yarmolenko blistering pace? but i hate managers playing people out of position ok if needed to play as cover for a game or two but not reguarly and imo you won't get the best out of players doing this.
