Hi all hope everyone is well, been a bit quiet for a bit. Al get straight into it lol.
Ed, is there any actual rumours that have any legs? And do you know the current status of Lingard and us or Man U?

{Ed002's Note - I am not sure what rumours you are referring to but although the club is struggling financially they need to sign a CB and find a striker as a matter of urgency. There are efforts being made to try and find agreement with Marseille and Duje Caleta-Car and they are again due to meet with the lady from Marseille who says that the player is hoping for other options but right now there aren't any. There are plenty of other CBs on West Ham's list.

The situation with strikers remains the same scattergun approach West Ham have been using for the past couple of years. They seem to be unable to reduce the huge list of strikers they have watched down to a few they can focus on and it is clear they need help here. If there are sufficient sales to raise money perhaps the answer is taking an experienced older striker and adding a younger player as wel.. Again the list is huge. There is also a need for a Goalkeeper and there are a couple of known options and one which might well go through is Armstrong Okoflex (W/F) who is seen as a vesatile youngster who might be able to replace Yarmolenko. Celtic are letting the player talk directly to West Ham.

Adding a CM player is probably desirable but I don't see Aaron Ramsey as the solution - although I am aware of an enquiry from West Ham - perhaps at the prompting of his agent.

The situation with Lingard remains the same with the player wanting to know his options - and staying at WHU is certainly one. Manchester United may offer to extend to save money on purchases but it probably won't suit the player without guarantees.

Anything else will be driven by departures and money raised. Although the desire to retain Declan Rice remains, there is a chance he will force a move - that would bring much needed money and West Ham have that in their thought process as they have added the very good Pierre Ekwah Elimby from Chelsea and scouted a couple of replacements, not least Alex Kral.}

Sorry to say i don't believe WH are short of money, all clubs have reduced costs including WH, BUT surely we are in a better position than last year our stadium costs are very low compared with other clubs, more money came in for our league position, extra tv money, sales of players and reducing our expensive players like Anderson [when he goes] all i see is WH low bid for players Moyes has done well for us but get the players he wants not his third or forth choice. YES money is tight but a lot of clubs are in a worse position than us, a lot of fans have had their income reduced but i don't see any of our boards salaries reducing.
Thats my gripe for this week. oh and stay safe
.

{Ed002's Note - You do not understand the situation at all. fail to mention turnover for last season which was partially impacted being down 25% to something like £140M including £45M less TV money), directors and management having to defer their pay due to the lack of funds, and an overall loss of £65M. That was just for last season - it will be far worse this season. I recommend staying away from the financials.}

ur right i don't understand finance being on pension credits but we move to to the Stadium 5 years ago i'm sure their was some profit made in 5 years.

{Ed002's Note - West Ham have not been stashing huge amounts of cash away - last season the shareholders invested another £30M in to the club to keep it running and they have agreed a £120M loan facility to try to ensure stability. They have issued a stark warning for the future and wages last year rose to 94% of turnover due to the pandemic - the situation for the season just finishing will be far worse. The £14M the club had in the bank at the end of last season will be long gone.

It is not so good John.}
