Ajax have this evening 'supposedly' made a £20m bid for Haller. If we can get £30m I'd sell him.

I think we’re also interested in one of their players, (Lassina Traore) so maybe a deal can be done?

Markwhu, if that’s true, snatch their hands off, £20m would be a dream, offloading £6m a year wages as well, that’s equivalent obviously to £26m for him, 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉TAXI, ⚒⚒⚒⚒.

When I saw this news, I thought, Chelmsford is a lucky boy, Christmas has come twice for him!

It’s a shame because he has the ability, but if it frees up funds to get Josh King I’ll be happy overall. We probably still owe Frankfurt £10mil ish in payments, so we’ll only actually be getting 10-15 mil to re-invest in a player.

Shifting Anderson on would be the best business we could do this window, although I’ll doubt anyone will want a winger who doesn’t even make the squad for Porto.

I will hold my hand up and accept what we have seen from Haller in a West Ham shirt has not been to the standard we expected / hoped. I will say though, I think he is walking, talking proof of a poorly planned transfer. We signed him off the back of an outstanding season in Germany whereby he played as part of a front two that was often a front three. Jovic, Haller and Rebic as a front three were spectacular.

We haven't regularly played to Hallers strengths in my opinion. Instead we've put him in to a system and expected him to perform to the same levels based on the players we have that play that system well. Antonio.

🤣😂Appreciate the thought TK, but rumours are just what they are until the deal is done, 🤞🤞🎉Wolves are sniffing around as well🤔🤔Anderson is certainly an enigma to me, maybe some top players acquire such enormous wealth, invest it sensibly then they lose the energy and enthusiasm for the daily rigours of training and Football especially if they have created businesses for the future that can take up a lot of time? ⚒⚒⚒.

Eds. is there any interest in Anderson this window?

{Ed002's Note - The player is very keen to return to Lazio but Andreas Pereira on loan so a vacancy won't arise in his preferred AM position until the summer. WHU can pay off Porto and look for someone else to take him on loan as they have no need for him - which they may well do, else they know his value will fall away.}

If keep Haller until the summer and hope his form improves. £20 mill is just not enough lads. I know his form isn’t great which is why the offer was half of what we paid. However, we should still be able to recoup £25-30 mil.
We also have to find a replacement and Josh King also played alongside Wilson at Bournemouth so would our system fit him?
I would try to get a striker in on loan and try him up front with Haller to see if his form will improve. We would have still needed an additional striker anyway right? If having the additional striker doesn’t improve his form, then let him go in the summer when we can dictate a better price. By then stadiums will be full and we won’t be held to ransom.

Anderson is another story. It’s not about ability with him it’s about desire. He seems to have lost his desire for playing football. This seems evident if he cannot get into the Porto side.
The only people we can blame are Pellegrini and Husillos.
Did they make a good buy at all when they were at West Ham. The only one who gets a start out of everyone they bought is Balbuena.

Stevie66. Lassina Traore was only played for the Ajax reserves for a year. Do we need a Dutch reserve player?
Look he may be OK but he may not be. I think we should really consider this. Do we need to take another gamblle?
I wouldn’t
He may have scored 22 goals in 33 games for the reserves but against who? 🙄🙄😳😳😳.

Its crazy to think that if Haller goes we would not have one striker in the squad who was actually purchased as a striker even then haller wasn't an out and out striker he had Jovic and rebic getting beyond him.

The amount we lose on transfers is all down to gold and a sullivan for me they've been at West ham for quite sometime now and its only really looking like we have abit more of a strategy in the market since moyes has come in even now with what moyes the club it is so far away from having a solid recruitment set up he definitely has his work cut out for him, I'm sure I read he wanted some kind of director of football in place.

Also we can't loan another player as max is 2 at the same time.

Eds? How would you rate our chances of moussa demebele coming in? he's out of form which surely increases our chances out of the strikers we have been linked to in my opinion he's the best and as they say form is temporary class is permanent!

{Ed002's Note - I think that he would consider the options that he has and I am not so sure WHU would eb attractive to Moussa Dembele.

The options seem to be:
Moussa Dembele (S) has not reacted well to being on the bench for a few games and with Tino Kadewere proving his worth Lyon are open to selling. There has been a discussion with a couple of sides already but neither could offer him a starting role. Atletico Madrid hope to be able to offering the guarantees he wants and whilst he is not top of their list of replacements the player has said he is open to a move to Spain. David Moyes is a known fan of the player and might well see him as an option at the right price for West Ham.
Boulaye Dia (S) Reims striker who would need to considerably improve his strike rate but has been of interest to West Ham, Brighton, Everton and Marseille. Says he wants to play for Lyon.
Mariano Diaz (S) It is true that Real Madrid have the representatives of Mariano Diaz offering him around on ideally a loan to buy option as they continue to clear the decks ready for a summer spending spree. Diaz is an out and out striker who had a very good season at Lyon three years ago but is simply not good enough for Real Madrid where the goals return has been well below average. He has rejected loans to several clubs already inclding West Brom and Brighton - West Ham may offer solution but commiting to an obligation to buy may not be wise.
Marcus Forss (S) Brentford Striker being considered by Borussia Dortmund and West Ham. New contract so he can be forgotten.
Olivier Giroud (S) Numerous clubs have an interest but will stay at Chelsea until the summer.
Moussa Marega (S) seen by West Ham as a cheap option able to sign on a Pre-Contract in January. But perhaps no longer first choice.}

See some rumours about Nzola any truth in those? He would certainly fit Moyes style of play.

{Ed002's Note - I wouldn't hold your breath, he has only just moved - 3 months ago.}
