Come on Ed give us some up lifting news about some kind off movement on ins and outs 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻.

{Ed002's Note - The situation remains that West Ham United need to sell to raise money for purchases - well Genoa have opened talks about two players from England, one is Jack Wilshere. West Ham has sold Grady Diangana and Xande Silva could follow him to West Brom. Felipe Anderson, Lanzini and Rice could bring funds in. Marcos Paulo (S) West Ham have asked about taking the Fluminese forward, but he is expensive.}

Ed002.why is it that West Ham appear to be the only club in this position?

All the teams around us are strengthening. and seem largely unconcerned in their spending by the impact of the virus.

Yet West Ham with owners who aren't THAT different in their wealth position to the Everton owners, plead absolute poverty and are looking into flogging the family silver (quite literally in Gold's case) . Ashley who doesn't even want to be at Newcastle seems able to find a few beans to throw into players that would clearly improve their side.

We have owners with no appetite, a manager with no pulling power, and a club that has been relentlessly been madea toxic location overtime since leaving the Boleyn Ground.

Even when the owners tried to go big their incompetence showed (bringing in a manager who had started his retirement wind down in China, bringing in a director of football who sat below the manager and was off the back of a disastrous season at Malaga) . and then when it goes unsurprisingly wrong, they blame the model rather than being able to spot their own failings and reverse to a busted flush who quite literally couldn't find a job at any level of the game.

The club is going down - wouldn't surprise me if we're in league one within 5 years. No strategy, no competence, and reducing assets not gaining.

{Ed002's Note - There are numerous clubs in the position of West Ham. Take Liverpool as an example, they also have to sell to buy. Real Madrid are having to recover €190M through sales to cover their losses before making any significant purchases. Barcelona and most Italian sides are using player trades more than they would do normally. Businesses have been hit hard by the pandemic and there is not money to throw at clubs - who should be largely self sufficient.}

Trouble there is you're talking about the Champions (who worst case end up top 4) and some of the biggest sides in Europe.

West Ham aren't in the position to not invest in their squad at a time when all around them are.

The bottom line is the billionaire owners need to do what football club owners do and invest in their asset (not cross their fingers and hope for the best, as has become their trademark) .

{Ed002's Note - The club has to comply with FFP rules - they cannot simply throw money at the club.}

Ummm. I thought that they kinda can though since the removal of the Short term Cost Control rule.

Not saying that there aren't still FFP rules to be followed but it's not quite as cut and dried as "No. We can't spend any money. "

The world of Premier League club's finances is pretty murky at the best of times and FFP does manage to muddy the waters even further but I'm not convinced it's the stingy chairman's get out clause it once was.

I will say this though, my comments are all purely speculative and without having a nice long look at the club's latest books - will remain as pure speculation.

That said, if the club really doesn't have a bean to spend then surely something, somewhere within the finance and planning departments has gone wrong, no?

Are we really that bad, how many teams looked good this weekend?
Everton, Chelsea, Leeds, Arsenal!
Nearly all the teams looked tired and unfit, no excuse for it in my books, but everybody looked unfit.

I think players like Cullen and Snodgrass should get a go against Arsenal, even Anderson looked like he wanted to run a bit against Newcastle, which we did not see last year, if he wasn’t ready last year they should not of played him.

Realistically we are a mid table team, have been for last few years. All fans that think we should be challenging for Europe needs to get tested!
Let’s support the team, protests against the board do not help the players, if the right offer comes in they will sell, will we be better off, who knows!

I see Liverpool have signed a couple of players I truly believe we are being left behind and short on defensive cover and quality I'm afraid and worried that unless two defensive players are bought in we are really in for a horrible struggle and IMO that shouldn't be the case we should be established as a steady eddey in terms of premier league teams like your evertons and Burnley's who are established .
