If Chelsea offered us; Kante, Barklay and Abraham for Rice would you deal?
If they offered Kante and Abraham would you deal?
Rice is a class player, yet if we got either of the suggestions it would improve our team.

{Ed002's Note - You are back in the fantasy world MArk - that is not going to happen.}

The press suggest Chelsea are lining up their offer now. Our problem is the players it appears the club would like to offload, which in turn would help them keep Rice, no-one seems to be interested in.

It also seems rice may be keen on the move. At £80m we have to cash in.

Chelsea managed to get Chilwell for £20m less than the asking price. They’ll want to do at least the same with us. I can see Rice being happy to go to be with his mate and to have a genuine chance at trophies, especially with the investments Chelsea have already made this window.

All transfer figures are notional. I guess they’ll offer £45m instead of the reported £80m someone has put on his head. They may offer one, or two cast offs as part of a possible deal, but I can’t see any that Moyse would want.

All the stories are that we can’t invest any further in our squad until we’ve raised cash by selling.

Sully/ Moyse are waiting on Chelsea and Chelsea know it.

I get the feeling they'll take pretty much whatever Chelsea offer. There may be a bit of token bartering for the cameras but at the end of the day if they play hardball, Rice could (not saying he would, but it's always a possibility depending on how things go) just stick in a transfer request and weaken WHU's negotiating position.

I for one will be well cheesed off if he goes most definatley if he wants to hand a request in. For me, if it was me I couldn’t do it, they let me go when I was a kid I would be like stuff em, people love me here and I could be special here. Yeah I understand wanting trophies etc but there’s none of these player in this generation like noble that want to work for the club and make the club challenge other higher teams and think I want this club to be a club that we push to get a trophy with. Maybe I am in a dreamland but hand on heart if it was me I would want to stay and do it where I am wanted and where the fans want me.
But now a days it’s all about money, I loved playing played Saturday n Sunday had a trial with Leeds when I was young and one with boro, ( I know I know we’ve all had trials lol ) but I played for a team I loved and loved the banter and the lads but we had bigger teams in our leagues who asked me to sign but I always thought why when I won’t play as much and they won’t appreciate me as much. I know it’s two massively different worlds but it’s the same I guess in a very very small way. I would love him to stay and be the captain, the driver off this club that I love, screw Chelsea they kicked u to the curb once don’t let them do it again or give them a chance.
COME ON YOU IRONS.

Chelsea want rid of Kante, and Abraham a £40m player. If Chelsea want Rice tell Chelsea he’s there for the 2. Kante will get little game time as will Abraham. They’d both walk into our team, and improve it. They both live in London, or the surrounding area so it may be worth a punt.

{Ed001's Note - Chelsea do not want rid of Kante.}

Papers have said Lampard happy for Kante to leave?

Whitby, I admire your loyalty and as you say “hand on heart” I would like to think I would be the same👍 The days of showing loyalty are mostly over I think, I would not expect it much from overseas players, but it would be admirable if some of the more local players could show it! I take not much notice of “I want to win trophies” talk when said, it’s a smokescreen for I want a big payoff imo? If only some players were as loyal as their fans? Fans change wives more than change Their team🤣🤣⚒⚒⚒.

Kante would be a direct replacement for Rice, Abraham will want 1st team football. These 2 for Rice makes sensible football business. It works for both clubs.

Why would Kante come to us when he's been linked to PSG?

If rice goes for less than 80million I'd see it as huge failure.

What would 60m get you? Maybe we could sign a few players but no guarantee they won't flop.

I would rather we stick with what we have got and give youth a chance than sell Rice to fund some other transfers.

Out of the players that chelsea would realistically use in a swap Bakayoko is probably our best bet. Batrubbish has rejected us a few times now so would definitely not want him anywhere near the team.

{Ed002's Note - Bakayoko is not moving to West Ham.}
