Terrific win. We could have had a hatful, but Krul was outstanding.

Anderson MoM - some of his through balls were a joy to see (eye of the needle precision) .

Lanzini terrific too, Haller excellent (with exception of that tackle - he needs to be careful there) .

Rice and Noble will be nailed on as a DM partnership for a while. Even Sanchez didn’t put a foot wrong.

Pleased for Yarmolenko as his goal will give him confidence and it was great to see his celebration with the medical staff.

We’ve got some very winnable matches coming up. Happy days.

Agree Markro, Krul was amazing yesterday. Team appeared to be balanced. I think we look stronger with Ogbonna, he tidied up for Diop, plus being left footed helps.

I think the full back partnership is pretty nailed on as well! Fredo and Arthur both put in very good performances and they have pace to burn

Anderson is an absolute joy when his head I switched on. Haller reminds me a bit of Kanoute, great player!

100%, great performance.
Balance in CM is key for us, and Noble is the guy who enables us to achieve this when he's alongside Rice. Nobes is great on the ball and transitions the ball into the creative players so well. He also has the defensive mentality and physical commitment needed to help Rice protect the back four. Our biggest weakness may be that we have no cover for Nobes (our closest is Snodgrass and he is a winger by trade), while Nobes also has his shortfalls with his lack of pace. If he had Kante's legs he would be a superstar!
Ovations like the one he received on Saturday should be encouraged. He is a club legend, and we should want to show the current crop (Rice/ Lanzini/ Haller/ Fornals/ Diop) how we treat our legends, and make them want to do the same.
Have to put a word out for Masuaku, who once again proved he is improving at LB. Still has a mistake in him (especially against a big team who will attack us more) but he is improving, and we love a player who gets his head down and works on their game! Long may it continue.

Nickinho, agree with your post, have always rated Masuaku, every player has mistakes in them obviously, he’s taken bags of stick from many posters, but he is an attacking wing back, with bags of pace, a good ball crosser and a grafter👍👍⚒⚒⚒.

Masuaku red will be recinded without fail. COYI.
