Rumour has it we have placed a bid for an African striker? I know a certain Colombian striker who plys his trade in Scotland I'd like to see pull on the claret and blue shirt! Not very disciplined but I'm sure pellegrini can calm him down! How many goals would he have scored with out those bans, I know it's scottish football but you still got to score

COYI.

Morelos for being quite small and quick definitely makes his presence known I think he would be a big hit with the fans. I watched his highlights 3 minute video for all 30 goals and then a 17 minute video for all his cards to be fair a lot of his cards and sending offs were soft and poor decisions a lot of the decisions would rule in his favour with VAR. Just seems there was abit of an agenda with him. I'd definitely take a chance on him his fight and graft would endear him to the fans and can clearly finish He would be good cover and or a partner for haller that could be a fierce combination.

Bob/ Iron, strongly agree with both, I love a terrier on the field, especially when they can score as well, as you say what a combination if he could be calmed down somewhat, I would have him as another addition double quick👍Get him if possible⚒⚒⚒COYI.

Apparently Ex has said something about him being available for £4m or £5m. I’m not sure I understand why when Gerrard valued him at £20m.

There are also reports that he is an ar*ehole in the dressing room.

I quite like Morellos. Was shocked Ex said he could be got for 4/ 5m.
The African striker I believe is Ben Yedder, could be Marega too I suppose but know we were interested a couple of years ago.

I think you’re right about Ben Yedder. Good player, not yet over the hill, but he would still cost a few bob.

As it says on a dollar bill, IN GOD WE TRUST
On our shirts it should read. IN PEL WE TRUST.

If it is Morellos we may be linked with, Rangers will now up their fee after the hat trick on Thursday even though it was against a Pub team! âš’âš’âš’.

We have no cash left to spend according to C&H. I can see a couple of loans coming in, or maybe the odd free.

African player you mention may be Youssef en-nesyri. Think exwhu employee mentioned him or seen a news article. 4-5m seems low maybe as upfront payment then lots of add ons. If we make up the majority of the valuation with performance based add ons that would suit us nicely the better he performs the more rangers get and less risk for us.

I don't believe the c&h article about us having nothing left. If the right deals become available we will find the money.

We might still get a decent amount for obiang but based on what I've seen I'd feel more confident of him coming on rather than Sanchez he never seems to no what's behind him. That cost us points last season when he did play and seeing the same in preseason now doesn't fill me with confidence.

Business not done yet the fact we are being linked to players early to mid twenties is refreshing bodes well for the future makes a lot more sense than how we have conducted business in the past.

IronAl, just saw your comment and looked him up - you may be on to something! Not so sure he is worth it though? He does fit the bill though, player Husillos knows and scored 1/ 3 in a decent European league.
Morellos- he is rated quite low because (sorry to say it) the Scottish League is not highly rated. Despite scoring 30+ goals last season, he is still only valued at £2.7m on transfermarkt. That being said, like him as a player, is young and could do a job for us. I reckon 5-10m would get him.
I too don't believe the 'no money left nonsense' we had the same last year after Diop/ Anderson and then bought Balbuena, Fabianski, Yarmolenko and Sanchez (maybe forget the last one! ) I believe in total we signed just shy of 30m worth of new players after we *had no money* Will be the same this year - sign two strikers for about 20m total.

Agree Glen re the no money left, standard business talk, very sensible, you don’t want to flaunt “money’s no object”👍 if we assumed we maybe have £15m plus a little more in reserve, we can surely get at least one maybe two in that are half decent as backups? I could think of several but of course it’s who wants to come, it’s who is available, very difficult I know, but if we get nobody else, we should still be able to compete with what we have, it won’t be a catastrophe? ⚒⚒⚒⚒.

Yes, agree 100%
Reckon one signing and one free/ loan striker if we shift Chicharito.
Dont really see what else we need? Good squad, depth in every position if we get a couple of strikers in.

Morellos would be a great signing . He is aggressive scores plenty of goals and will be relatively cheap because playing in Scottish Pub League. I agree his disciplinary record isn’t great but I also think he is a marked man up there. We did well when signing a nutter from North of the Border ( via Sheffield Wed ) , and whilst he hasn’t PdiCs skills he finds the back of the net more often .
We can’t lose much if we need to move him on, and his wages aren’t likely to break the bank . But I think he will do ok, he can’t be any worse than the dross we have seen masquerading as strikers of late . We paid £10M for the one we bought from Preston who has managed 3 appearances and no goals which would make a fee of £20M if we had to pay it seem a steal by comparison . We certainly won’t need to pay him the money we paid Carroll to be constantly injured or I would guess the blank firing Zaza who Inter tried to sell us .
He must be a better option than Llorente who only got games for Tott because he was bad enough to be content bench warming when Kane was able to play.
