I’ve never heard of a contract including clauses about “bigger clubs†- maybe it might state “Champions League†or “European Competition. †Otherwise a standard trigger amount is the usual way forward. Sign him up for €40m and lob a €100m release Claus in. Job done.

I have no idea what Haller is like, I would take the consensus of opinion that he’d be a great signing for us, unless it looks almost nailed on as rumours suggest, we are desperate for a target man upfront and Hope plan B is in place if not? We need a big strong proven battler and scorer up front, doesn’t have to be somebody unobtainable that is a dream, just a realistic prospect for us. I see no problem with age within reason for a target man, maximum say 30 as that still gives another couple of years providing no serious injury problems! I think it’s more important to have slightly younger players elsewhere apart from GK. ⚒⚒⚒.
