Fornals was ok last night and scored, but Ceballos ran the game with excellent support from Fabian.

There was early window talk of us being interested in Ceballos. I would love for him to come to us - he’s the only player on the radar I would let Lanzini go for.

Cant see how Lanzini gets in the side to be honest, had a bad injury didn't look half the player he was a few years ago I wouldn't be fussed at all if he went to be honest.

Lanzini was injured a lot of the previous season to last too. Effectively been out the game for 2 seasons so can't expect him to be on top of his game. I think he's got one full season with MP to justify his place in the team before we look for a replacement.

Ah, but can you imagine fit and fully functioning Lanzini, Wilshere and Yarmolenko? What would they had to the depth of MP’s squad?

Hi Marko

IMO I really do not think we would be able to see a fully fit Lanzini, Wiltshire and Yammo all at once, i'm expecting the usual few games from Jack than out for a month with a ankle injury, and than get fit play a few more games and the same will happen again, its a shame as when on his game his brilliant but his just one of those who will go down as what could have been if not for injury

Im still a little unsure with Yarmo, he scored 2 good goals against Everton a fluke goal v Man U but he really did not look fit to me and his body language was not great, when defending players were running past him with little effort. i'm looking forward to see the real player this season and will make my judgement from there

I agree with a couple of the posts that I would consider letting Lanzini go, Yes his a good player but he has been injured and to be brutality frank I feel we are moving up a gear as in player level. A few seasons ago he was a god send for us and was quality, but you have to remember he stood out when others around him were dire, so yes he is a good players but not irreplaceable.

All I want this year is improvement, the only team in this league we seemed to be constantly being rolled over by is Man C ( so does everyone), OK Liverpool away is hard for many teams but we showed at home we can compete. With Man C it always seems a fore gone conclusion even before the match starts. So I want to see a little more fight and a closer match against Man C and be more consistent against the so called lower teams.

We are in a mini league that is it, so let try top that and have a decent cup run, realistically that the best we can hope for this season, until a level playing field is introduced by the powers that be so clubs who have money to burn can just not by up all the best players, who can afford to spend £60m on a squad player? unfortunately the Prem league is a monster and run away train that won't stop until it crashes.

One very easy adjustment to the Prem is to have a play off for the 4th CL spot as in 4,5,6,7 winners going into the Cl losers into Europa, its so easy, it will give teams like us, Wolves, Everton, etc at least a sniff of a CL spot. I just do not understand why they can't introduce this, its not rocket science.

Cheers Warrington - very good, considered post. I suppose, like MP, I expect every player to be giving it their best every game and I judge a player by the best I have seen them play ie. What they can do when on their game.

If memory serves Lanzini scored away at Liverpool when we won there a few seasons ago!

Thinking back to last season, to how many games were missed by probable first teamers because of injury, we should be able to push on next season, especially with the reinforcements we get this window. Surely we can’t have yet another ridiculously injury blighted season.

I’ll maintain my optimism and wait for the disappointment. My wife says it’s like childbirth: the reason you have a second one is because you forget what you went through producing the first!

I understand why that’d be good for West Ham Warrington but a club that finishes 7th should not be in the CL.
